Etude House Aloha Water Veil Fixer Mist Review

I love facial mists particularly in the Summer when I’m misting myself madly to rehydrate my skin and cool it off! I have any number of facial mists but I’m chronically purchasing new ones since I use them so often it’s good to keep a extra stash of ’em laying hanging around.

Etude House’s Summer 2011 Collection has a new facial mist available which is a refreshing little pick me up that quite reminds me of ones from the Skin Food!

Let’s take a peek at it!

You might find the packaging of the Etude House Aloha Water Veil Fixer Mist quite familiar in size and style as the Skin Food has several facial mists along a similar vein such as their Lettuce and Cucumber one and their Fresh Juice Toning Mist.

This comes packaged in a small aerosol spray style bottle with a depressor for application. The applicator releases a very fine mist onto face which is quite nice as it doesn’t make your face feel soaking wet nor does it ruin makeup if you choose to use this as a fix. The fine mist creates an even, hydrated layer of mist without being over done.

The formula has a refreshing, gently hydrating finish that can be used prior to moisturizer to aid in application or as a fix to set makeup or as a refresher through the day. As a fix I really don’t see any prolonged wear of my makeup however it does lighten the load of mineral or powder makeup and makes it look fresher and less harsh when applied on drier skin. As a prep for moisturizer it aids in allow lotions and creams to absorb easier into skin. It’s particularly nice to keep stashed in your makeup bag, as it is travel friendly, to refreshen up your makeup and give a dewy, glow to skin.

The mist has a faint fruity, floral fresh scent going on that’s very soothing and pretty.

It’s not really anything special but I will say the finer mist it produces is a nice change from my normal facial mists. I purchased it directly from Korea at retail price but I’ve seen it online for around $16 which I do think is a ickle too high due to its smaller size. If you can find it for around $8-$9 it might be worth checking out as it’s a nice treat to tuck into your Summer makeup bag!

I’m OBSESSED with facial mists — especially since every Korean drama shows a perfect skinned actress constantly misting her face. I own so many but I feel like I have to be stingy with them since they’re basically expensive water. I actually prefer the Evian cans most because the fine spray. Do you think they’re actually worth the money besides the novelty and feel good factor?

Oh oops I just looked/read more carefully and saw that this IS a can as well — what is the size comparison to the Evian cans?
