hmmm I see no promises of moisturizing qualities… These sound nice but I may have to pass, due to that!

  • Candace

I haven’t seen this aaaanywhere near me so far ;'( wah wah, lol! Do you know if they have an official release date, or are just trickling into stores whenever they get around to it, etc?

    • the Muse

god I wish I know Candace. Drugstore makeup is such an adventure…you kinda just have to run into things b/c brands never really say when something is launching and their website is no help :-/

      • Candace

I spoke too soon! Found them just today when I went in for some ACTUAL necessities – haha, of course! :p

  • Makeup Morsels

grr I’ve been looking for these all over the place, but no luck. Maybe my CVS doesn’t have it in stock yet.

  • Tammie

OMG I just thought these were normal lipsticks!! Thanks for the heads up Muse, I really wanted to try the DuWop Iced Teas but didn’t like the price or your bad reviews but love clear things haha. I am going to pick up a couple tomorrow! Yay!

    • the Muse

my pleasure tammie sorry dear delayed reply…very behind comment wise 🙁

      • Tammie

No worries, you’re always great with commenting so if you are behind it’s very understandable!

  • Giselle Brown

Looks amazing! Tempts me to hit the stores right away!!!!

    • Freidra

I saw the display for these at Bed Bath and Beyond – although it was already out of both Fruit Punch and Pink Lollipop.

      • Bianca61

I wish I could find any Maybelline lipsticks that are not used. Even though some stores have testers, people try the merchandise that is meant to be sold. I am still looking for these… I love their pearlized lipsticks!

I just bought Citrus Slice today and sadly I’m going to return it asap. It’s a cool idea, but you could literally buy any shade and they all look exactly the same on your lips. They’re not really moisturizing either, and although my lips look nice with it on, I’ve reapplied so many times just to keep it fresh and not waxy…it’s not worth the $5 to me. If it were more pigmented I would keep it, the moisture thing doesn’t bother me so much. I LOVE the smell though, smells like a sweet citrus. Too bad…

    • the Muse

aw sorry emma! I haven’t tried them yet…plan on a review shortly though :-/

  • S

They haven’t hit my area yet either (upstate NY), but I’m curious about them and how they compare to the Clarins balms. Looking forward to your review, Muse 🙂

    • the Muse

hey S! Where did you get the Clarins balms? ;-D I never seen them in the US! grrr!

      • S

Muse, I haven’t seen the Clarins balms in person yet either. I was at Nordstrom in The Westchester last week and they didn’t even have them! Have only seen a couple reviews on various blogs.

I just got Fruit Punch this morning and I don’t regret it, but I won’t be buying the other colors. Fruit Punch is the most pigmented but it only leaves the teeniest tiniest amount of color, but it IS there. I couldn’t take a picture that showed it (that’s how subtle it is) but when I did my bottom lip and left my top lip “naked” you could certainly see a difference!

I really don’t think the other colors would impart enough of a color on the lips to have a point. Also they are slightly sticky and not moisturizing at all. I do love it for being clear which is fun, but that’s just my weird thing hehe. It is probably best used when you want like the least remarkable lips possible, but with a slight tint since I feel like when my lips are naked it looks very corpse like so this is good if I don’t want shiny or colorful lips! I am not sure how often I would want that look but yeah.

I got all four tammie hehe I couldn’t resist but haven’t tried them yet…nice to know they aren’t completely bad ;D I was worried!

      • Tammie

I might have gotten more but I have been stocking up on Revlon glosses that I’ve been eyeing a while since Rite Aid is doing 40% of Revlon stuff right now xD.

They are fun! Even if you just look at them haha. I do hope mine “warms up” after a few uses though and gives more of a shine, if it did that I think I’d use it more often for a very natural look~. Maybe even get a back up if they are still around by then.

  • darae

i bought one yesterday and im going to go buy all of them! i usually cannot stand the smell of color sensational but these are fruity and dont have a nasty taste! yes they are sheer but it’s definitely not just clear

i will stock up on these because i heard they are limited edition? i will be very sad to see these go…. :*(

    • the Muse

they are indeed LE darae ;-D Happy to hear they are so nice! 😀

I just picked up Pink Lollipop and Fruit Punch at Rite-Aid today. They are virtually colorless but I like the shine they impart. They also had a “buy $15 worth of stuff/get $15 rebate check” so that makes them almost free.

  • Kiki

Bought one in Fruit Punch and loving it! Admit I was drawn in because I happened to adore the lipgloss version, and for the pretty packaging.
    But $5?
In BC (Canada) where I live, it’s 9.99$!!
    ;A;

I found these at Harmon’s. I so wanted the Du Wop but with the high price tag and low opinions I figured I’d pass. When I saw these I jumped on the last tube that hadn’t been “tried”. Why doesn’t Maybelline put a seal on the lippies? eww…
I got the pink lollipop and it turns a pretty shade of pink on my lips.
I ended up finding the other colors at a different Harmon’s (they actually tape their lippies shut because of all the damage.)
I find that all the colors are very similar on my lips but if you study them – pink lollipop is a bright light pink, raspberry ice is a little more fuschia, citrus looks orange but it’s kind of a pinky coral, and fruit punch is the darkest of them but the tint looks like a reddish pink. They don’t have great moisture staying power but they do stain my lips a bit. I don’t mind having to re-apply because they look so darn cool. 😀 My Mother in law really thought it was neat and I was able to get one for her. I can’t wait to give it to her. It’s the little things.

  • savannah

these are awesome! they tasted better than my pricey ysl gloss volupte glosses. definitely will stock up on them.
