Philosophy Tropical Daiquiri Shower Gel Review

Philosophy has been busy releasing “Shower Gels of the Month” on QVC. The first one, which I missed (kicking self), was Lively Lemon Coconut back in June.

And for July we have Tropical Daiquiri! Seriously, what’s better than a mocktail in our shower that won’t give us a hangover in the AM?

Check it!

My track record with Philosophy Shower Gels is legendary, I own one or two…more like 100’s but who’s counting? With that much variety it’s hard to commit to any one shower gel but I have to say that Philosophy Tropical Daiquiri hasn’t left my shower since I got it and no end is in site to our relationship…! I love it. You NEED it.

This is a gorgeous tropical little number that reminds me of the scent of Hawaiian Punch which I can’t drink by the way less you wanna rush me to the hospital after I go into a sugar coma…damn, that stuff is toxic! But I can get my sweet, fruity infusion of tropical sunny fruits with this one. The scent is energizing and very Summer-y.

Philosophy has really embraced their new packaging design as well which did away with their old recipes design and now features their vintage style photos on each bottle of their newer shower gels! This one features a cute little girl riding a seesaw.

Philosophy Tropical Daiquiri can be used as a shower gel, shampoo, or bubble bath and I guarantee it won’t leave your shower once you get it.

Loves this one!

Very Muse Approved for purchase.

But get it quick, as Philosophy seems to be offering these for a month only before releasing a new “Shower Gel of the Month”.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Tempting, but Philosophy 3in1s just aren’t quite scented enough to me to reconcile spending the money. 🙁

Holy cow, this looks AMAZING. Does Philosophy use synthetic fragrances? I know in some of their scents they use pretty much only the fruit extracts, but 90% of all synthetic fragrances give me horrible migraines (Walking into a Bath and Body Works is the equivalent of me hitting myself over the brain with a sledgehammer and begging the universe to knock me on my arse for four days.) Philosophy, however, always puts out the most INCREDIBLE LOOKING scents but I’m too afraid to even smell them. =(

I believe so Jayne but don’t quote me on that. But it’s nothing like BBW which def is overpowering, philosophy is considerably more subtle.

I missed the lemon coconut as well (dang trying to be good is so dang hard!!) but for some reason this one didn’t even make me a wee bit curious about it.

Maybe because it has a sweet little girl on a boozy named 3 in 1?

I’d been using Philosophy & Ulta’s shower smoothies (I have a million of both), but damn you, Muse, damn you!!! I’ve become a Lush addict (thanks to you!) and their soaps are the only things I’m using lately. If anyone wants to try a great soap, get the Sandstone — it has sand it it (natural exfoliant), but smells like a gazillion cut lemons in your shower; it’s really unbelievable.

LOL susan ;-D sorries ;-D I love sandstone..I use it on my feet hehehe!

Ya just dont drink it. Tastes like soap. Just kidding. I hauled lemon verbena and peaches and cream and do not need a 102nd bottle of 3n1 in my closet. You are NOT helping me keep from wanting this one.

    • the Muse

Lol melissa ;-D! ha…tell me about it, story of my philosophy life girl!

I looooovveeee Hawaiian Punch!! Won’t let my kids drink it, but every now and then I sneak one when they’re not around. Bad Mommy, yummy treat! I will definitely be getting this now that you’ve compared the fragrance to my childhood fave, HP! “How ’bout a nice Hawaiian Punch?!”
