Bath & Body Works Liplicious Strawberry BooNilla Lip Lipgloss Review, Swatches, Photos

Bath Body Works Liplicious Strawberry BooNilla Lip Lipgloss 001

If you’re an 80’s baby you totes remember Franken Berry….fun fact did you know Franken Berry was very popular when it was first introduced supposedly because the first batches of the cereal used a dye that didn’t break down in the body causing poo to be bright pink….a symptom sometimes referred to as “Frankenberry Stool”. True story accordingly to Wiki.

I’ve never experience the phenomenon myself but I honestly can’t say I’d be averse to pink poop, that would kinda rock wouldn’t it?

I haven’t personally seen Franken Berry on my supermarket stores in YEARS and only see Count Chocula but General Mills will actually stop making these “monster” cereals this year and will bring them out seasonal only (in the Fall for Halloween).

Anyway…

That’s my trivia for today.

I was reminded of this because my next review is on the new Bath & Body Works Liplicious Strawberry BooNilla Lip Lipgloss. The taste, the packaging, etc…just reminds me of Franken Berry for some reason!

Jump!

I super love this one as the really intensely sweet flavor reminds me of the Franken Berry Cereal I was discussing above. It’s a vibrant strawberry with a hint of something cake-y in the background. As far as I’m concerned it’s all kinds of delicious but some folks may feel it tastes a bit fake or sensitive types might not get off entirely on the intense flavor.

The packaging cracks me up as well as it features too creepy looking strawberry faces on the tube. The actually gloss is a swirl of baby pink and strong iridescent white. As much as I love the taste I find the formula is a bit gritty and it looks rather patchy and awful on my lips as the shimmery white comes through dominantly here versus the lovely pink.

Color aside, I love this…it’s just cute. Sometimes I have to give over to the cute factor.

FrankenBerry was my favorite cereal as a kid — I have to have this! And those adorable little spooky strawberries on the tube are too cute — the packaging alone gets me!

Hey Muse this is somewhat unrelated but your post got me thinking about it. I know you love all things British but did you ever see a TV prog called Eurotrash? V funny series for the Brit market documenting all the weird & wonderful people in the rest of Europe. Like the guy that painted pictures with his own poo & would eat different food to get different colours. He would have totally LOVED that Fanken Berry stuff!!!!!

Ok, I have enough lipglosses. Seriously, so many and they’re almost all just shiny, shimmery, and clear. So, no, I don’t need this.

……………..But it’s call Boonilla and has gasping strawberries on it! GIVE IT TO ME NOW!!!

Also, did not know that about Frankenberry. I ate mostly honey nut cheerios and the only “sugary cereal” was coco krispies – with the monkey on it. My sister ate all that other stuff like the cookie cereal, the sugary squares (blanking on the name), but I can’t remember if she ever ate this one.
