Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Mineral Makeup SPF 15

The Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Mineral Makeup SPF 15 ($38) release ran across my desk today! Very exciting release as who better to depend on to make great wearable mineral foundation than Bobbi Brown!

Let’s take a look!

Bobbi believes foundation should look like skin”and thats why she has created various formulas that achieve a natural finish no matter what your skin type. Now she is introducing her latest creation, Skin Foundation Mineral Makeup SPF 15. Highly anticipated and long-awaited, this new and exclusive formula redefines everything you thought you knew about mineral makeup. Skin Foundation Mineral Makeup SPF 15 uses an innovative blend of mineral powders to provide a unique translucency, while counteracting dullness. This blend of soft and silky natural mineral powders instantly smoothes texture and creates shine-free coverage without the weight. Upon application, this mineral makeup formula instantly diminishes the look of imperfections and uneven skin tone and texture. Say good-bye to an artificial sheen and say hello to a natural glow.

Skin Foundation Mineral Makeup SPF 15 is revolutionary, consisting of an exclusive vitamin and mineral blend that is triple coated with vitamins, moisturizers and conditioners, and film formers. It is then triple milled into fine particles that create a smooth, silky finish. This weightless mineral formula is particularly special because of three unique features:

Skin looks like skin… A perfectly balanced blend of mineral powders provides a unique translucency that allows the skins natural luminosity to show through.

Powders in different shapes and sizes were chosen to create a weightless, aerated sensation and natural look on the skin. This formula absorbs excess oil on the surface of the skin and delivers a natural, healthy finish. It contains moisturizers and skin conditioners… Sodium Hyaluronate, a powerful moisture magnet, keeps skins moisture balanced, preventing dryness and caking, which exaggerate the appearance of fine lines.

Squalane, Soy Bean Extract and Ceramides help soften and smooth skin. Vitamin B and mineral powders provide skin conditioning benefits. Powerful protection… This mineral formula contains a unique complex that bonds Vitamins C and E together, providing prolonged activity and a slow release of broad spectrum antioxidant protection.

When I found out about this a few months ago my first thought was, oh I hope the muse reviews this! How else will i know if i want it? Haha, I’ve been refreshing your website several times a day waiting for your review! Thanks for all that you do!

    • the Muse

oh lacey DEF will review. Prob sometime next week b/c this one I have to spread the word about…I’m very curious how I’ll feel once I fully tested ;-D! HOPE it’s awesome! aw shucks thanks for your support!

  • Lacey

No problem! I used to work for prescriptives until we left stores, and then I moved over to Bobbi brown until i became a stay at home mom to my ten month old. My friends told me about this after their school a few months back, and said it is awesome. I absolutely love coming to your site because, with one income now, i can’t afford a lot of this stuff, and when i splurge i need it to be a surefire hit. I kind of live vicariously through you haha. Once again, thanks, I always feel like you are a friend even though we have never spoken!

    • the Muse

Aw lacey I’m so happy you came out to say hey today 🙂 We are friends. I think of you guys as my extended family! It’s always nice hoping on here, doing a post and hearing what everyone else thinks, etc……I totally understand plus in this economy things really do have to be a hit before it’s a good idea to indulge!!!!!!!!! ;-D!

This looks awesome! Do you know if it contains bismuth oxychloride? Most mineral makeup does and it makes me breakout. i hope this one doesnt though b/c it looks fantastic!

    • the Muse

I don’t know yet court but I also have a problem with bismuth, that’s why I avoid BE, but I’ll def mention it in my post if it does!

      • Melissa

me too me too same itchy/allergy issue with this ingredient found in most lose powders and BE. I will be curious about this one TY.

  • Mandi

Unfortunately there is a lot of silicone in this product and its at the beginning of the ingredient list. I worry that this may clog the pores compared to other mineral makeup 🙁 Looking forward to your review.

You are SO amazing, Mandi. Yeah, that’s a pretty crummy list. If someone actually wants mineral makeup, I’ve learned to never trust the big cosmetic companies. They put so many extra chemicals in there, it defeats the purpose. Now I know I can pass on these!

  • Nia

Nice idea, but I cannot see how that would work, especially for dry skin.

I’ll be sticking with my Chanel, even if the colour is not perfect.

Still curious what you will think though 🙂

  • Nazih

I was very excited about this but now that I see the list of ingredients… 🙁

  • sara

Laura Mercier has an awesome mineral foundation! I luv it:) Looks like a lot of ingredients for a mineral makeup…I think I’ll pass on this one, but will still look forward to the review Muse:)

  • Cait

I may have to try this…..i gave up on MM after repeatedly trying BE and always finding it too orange, scratchy, and cakey/powdery. I may have to try this though….Alabaster sounds appealing.

  • SusanT

I just can’t with mineral powder makeup. I’m old school, like liquid/cream foundations only. Plus I’m allergic to titanium dioxide, which is a huge content in mineral powder makeup.

  • Lyndywyn

    Dear Muse,

I just bought the mineral makeup and I really like it!
I was wondering if you could compare the old and new version of the face brush?

    • the Muse

I don’t have either brush lyn sorry! Glad you’re enjoying this ;-D!!!!!!!!
