MAC Me Over Lady Grey Eye Shadow Quad Review, Swatches, Photos
MAC Me Over sees the release of two new eye quads. I got Lady Grey to try out but I have to say it’s not very me. I don’t do taupes so well I fear, they remind me of vintage romance novels featuring Fabio as the hero! ha! Because boyfriend always looked like he had on fancy shades of purple and taupe eyeshadow on those covers!
Let’s take a peek!
The Lady Grey Eyeshadow Quad is probably one of the better palletes I’ve seen from MAC in a while. Some of the quad releases have had crummy formulas but Lady Grey suffers none of the same downfalls. The palettes are soft and blend easily. I find picking up color is not an issue where as a few palettes from the last few collections failed to yield color as the texture of the shades seemed to be rather hard. The colors do run softer and sheer but can be built up for more dramatic color pay off however not so much that they pop in my opinion.
Colors include:
- Tendersome-silvery lilac frost
- Hazy Day-mid-tone grey
- All Races-cool taupe mauve
- Lady Grey-frosted green-grey satin
I do believe shades like these though prove difficult to pull off but those who prefer a more sophisticated, softer eye look will be very pleased with this collection of shades.
This will be available from MAC on August 25th, 2011.
