Philosophy Maraschino Cherry Lemonade Shower Gel Review

I’m kinda mad at Philosophy.

Just when I convince myself I won’t be pulled back in their shower gel game, I get suckered back in. It’s like the shower gel mafia!

Recently, they started doing a super limited range of shower gels. Now, limited edition, can’t be taken seriously anymore in the beauty world. At one time, beauty junkies would quake in fear when someone even uttered the words LE. We’d all hoard away dupes of LE products and never pull them out of our beauty vaults.

But “limited edition” is tossed around to casually nowadays and gone are the days where we have to hoard dupes of products, makeup collections, etc…since stuff rarely sells out and that LE run is long……like years….introduce it today as Limited Edition and come back around the same time next year and that shiz will still be around on the shelf.

But Philosophy kicked LE back old school style with their Shower Gel of the Month Club at QVC. Each month, Philosophy introduces one single new shower gel that’s available for a single month before disappearing for good…! It all started out with Lively Lemon Coconut…!

Flash forward a few months and Summer brings Philosophy Maraschino Cherry Lemonade…

Moral of the story?

Get it now why the getting is good because it’ll be gone REALLY soon!

Jump!

I dunno if you remember the good old days but they consisted of e-tailers like Skindazzles. Please Jebus, tell me everyone remembers Candy and her wonderful treats that she cooked up at Skindazzles?

I loved that e-tailer.

I dunno what happened to her or her store but one day I checked and POOF it was gone. Economy maybe? If anyone knows give a shout out.

I’m mentioning Skindazzles because Philosophy Maraschino Cherry Lemonade Shower Gel brings back every maraschino cherry I’ve ever tried from e-tailers particularly those from Skindazzles.

It’s strange to say it but…well…it’s kinda a weird experience to get an e-tailer like scent from a costly bottle of Philosophy Shower Gel.

Maraschino Cherry dominates this blend and I get NO lemon or lemonade. It’s not cherry as you know it but more of a syrupy artificial cherry scent, no worries, to my nose I still find it pleasant.

I was disappointed at the lack of lemons here but I can’t deny I like the overall scent as it brings back far too many memories of e-tailer hauls from the past…!

I’m really like this Philosophy Shower Gel of the Month thing for a variety of reasons.

1. Love that these are REALLY limited edition (finally someone defines LE correctly).
2. I really like the vintage packaging that Philosophy is embraces with these. Love the old recipe bottles but likey the vintage pictures even better.
3. I love the scents are NOT revamps of fragrances Philosophy has already done.

Main rant?

Wish they’d have offered this to QVC shoppers as an Auto Ship because I don’t wanna forget to order a single month.

Are you indulging in these monthly shower gels?

Tried Maraschino Cherry Lemonade?

Do share!

It’s available now at QVC.com get it NOW before it’s gone!

I recently got raspberry sorbert (not a limited edition but still really awesome). I can’t believe some use this as bubble bath or shower gel. I use it as shampoo and a very tiny amount. It lasted me about 7 months last time thats why I can justify the price. But unless you use a super tiny amount I can’t see myself using it as a shower gel. And as a bubble bath?! It’s 16 dollars a bottle! Use some cheap stuff as bubble bath. I just find that insanity.
