the Balm Time Balm Peppermint Hydrating Face Cream Review, Photos, Swatches

Why, oh, why did I discover the Balm’s new Time Balm Peppermint Hydrating Face Cream at the end of Summer? I could have used you all Summer long to keep my skin hydrated with your lovely lightweight formula and to cool it off thanks to the refreshing burst of peppermint in the mix.

Damn.

Too late.

But we’ll be friends until the end right? Or at least until it gets cold out and I can’t use you anymore because my dry skin needs something heavier to keep it from acting all kinds of crazy.

Time Balm Peppermint Hydrating Face Cream is the balm…it’s the balm dot com! Loves it.

Check it!

A gentle, lightweight moisturizer infused with peppermint extra!

Ok, I admit it, I’m in lust with this stuff and ever so disappointed I just now purchased it because we’d be inseparable if it was still really hot and humid around here. It’s starting to get cooler now and Fall is on its way so I might have to tuck this guy away until next Summer but damn I sure hope a sudden heat wave hits so I can take full advantage!

The Balm says this is an antioxidant rich formula with rich white tea and natural extras to promote beautiful skin. In my daily use with it I was just fascinated by the peppermint and light formula. The formula proves a light, airy moisturizer with an almost gel-like consistency with absorbs in a snap and leaves behind a dewy finish. The novelty of the product is the infusion of peppermint in the mix which gives the moisturizer a crisp mint fragrance and a refreshing, cooling feel upon contact with the skin. It feels incredible on my dry, parched skin and doesn’t interfere with my SPF or makeup thanks to the lighter formula which wears well under both of those products. The pump style jar distributes just the right amount of product and the vintage style packaging is quirky and quite whimsical, kinda reminds me of old skincare products you’d find at the local pharmacy in the 70’s.

Nothing bad here!

  • Those with dry, heated skin in need of a pick me up!
  • Those who desire a lightweight moisturizer that wears well under makeup.
  • Those who live in warmer climates that love the idea of a cool, refreshing moisturizer!

  • Those sensitive to fragrance in their skincare.

If you’re a bit on the sensitive side I do believe you can still indulge here as the dose of peppermint in the mix isn’t strong at all and feels refreshingly gentle to me but you might want to do a quickie test on one area prior to a full application. I loved this and thought it was a novel moisturizer that had a refreshing formula that was ideal for Summer use due to it’s lightweight texture which absorbs super easily without leaving behind an oily, greasy feel.

My only disappointment?

The fact I just discovered it! Fall is almost here le sigh!

But it’ll be a nice treat until that cold weather sets in. If you live in a warm, sticky environment, Peppermint Hydrating Face Cream is for you!

Loves!

Oh I want to try this! I live in Texas and it won’t be very cold until at least mid November! I also have an addiction to anything cooling/menthol.

Ooooh this looks nice. I recently picked up Thebalm Lavender foaming face wash at my local Marshalls, so random, haha. It was hiding on the shelf and I found it! It was only $14 too! I was pretty excited. Not to mention that it is my new favorite face wash now. It’s very soothing!
