Baviphat Island Girls BB Primer Fix Review, Swatches, Photos

I said it before, I’ll say it again, the chick on the Baviphat Island Girls BB Primer Fix box so looks like Amanda from Ugly Better!

Right?

Ha…!

Baviphat (I wanna type Baby Phat) is a Benefit style cosmetic brand that’s available in Korea. Alot of the makeup offerings remind me of Benefit for some reason. I think part of the appeal is in fact their packaging as I love the Baviphat girls that are featured on many of the products.

Let’s take a look at their BB Primer Fix!

Jump!

Creamy primer that provides a smooth, soft surface for BB cream to easily glide onto.

The main purpose of Baviphat Island Girls BB Primer Fix is to create a soft, smooth surface for BB Cream to adhere too. If you have drier skin you’ll enjoy this formula as it’s a heavier cream which easily absorbs into skin leaving behind a soft, hydrated finish. I like the formula alot as my skin is dry so it can use all the help it can get however I do think that the formula could prove a little overkill if your skin is oily as it leaves behind a dewy, softly moisturized finish but not a matte one.

The cream is white however upon closer inspection it seems to glow pink however on my skin it absorbs easily and doesn’t leave behind any colored finish. It does indeed prep beautifully for BB Cream as it moisturizers drier areas so BB Cream glides on easily and adheres nicely to skin however for larger pores or finer line it won’t necessarily fill these areas or blur them so you might want to see our a primer with silicones instead.

Although a very nice prep for BB Creams I didn’t…

Feel like this prolonged the wear of my foundation or BB Cream. I didn’t really notice any difference. I never have an issue with BB Creams wear time anyway however after testing with my normal foundation I really didn’t see a prolong wear and this didn’t really help keep my base fresh or keep it from oxidizing.

This is a Korean release which means online shopping, airmail, etc…all come along with the purchase since it’s not something available in US stores.

  • Anyone looking for a soft, creamy primer for prepping dry skin for BB Creams or foundations.
  • Those with drier skin.

  • Those with oily skin.
  • Those wanting to blur or fill larger pores or finer lines.
  • Those looking for a primer to prolong the wear of their base products.
  • Anyone who isn’t keen about shopping online, dealing with airmail, etc…!

I liked Island Girls BB Primer Fix alot however I’d have liked it even more if it kept my foundation in place for a few extra hours. I’m not sure it’s worth tracking down at an extra charge plus dealing with airmail as I’m sure you can get a similar creamy primer product within the US but if you can find it for close to retail it might just be worth the haul particularly if you have drier skin and want your BB Cream to have a more natural appearance.

Likey!

Quite a nice primer!

YesStyle.com sells this but retail is quite high.
