Etsy Discovery: MadAristocrat
Chibi, manga reader’s like myself are probably very familiar with the word.
Chibi is basically a Japanese word meaning “short” or “small child”. The meaning is not meant to be taken literal in a context of say someone being short but more of a “cute” person. Chibi style characters pop all over anime and manga and many commercials in Japan, it’s as cultural as the use of kawaii forms of advertisement.
People tend to enjoy creating fan art that depicts their favorite manga stars in Chibi form like L from Death Note or even famous movie characters like Harry Potter. This in fact is the lead in for my Etsy Discovery.
I recently came across an amazing seller creating Chibi necklace charms of the 10th and the 11th and I immediately had to purchase both for myself (and 10 for a friend).
Take a look if you’re a Doctor fan!
Aren’t they stupid cute? She got the hair spot on for 10 didn’t she?
She does a range of different Doctor Who themed charms as well as the typical kawaii line up of foods and fruits plus some odd geeky ones like Pokeballs, Pacman, Plants and Zombies, and and even Nyan Cat if you please! Her main line up includes a charm and a chain for around $18 but she also has charms only, rings, earrings and bracelets.
Love!
I paid $18 each for the Doctor Who goodies but after telling her about my site she kindly offered 15% Off to my readers for the entire month of September using promo code theMuse (just pop it into the note box during check out).
