Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balm

Maybelline Baby Lips Repairing Lip Balm will be launching in October (or could possibly be popping up in your local drugstore already).

These launched in Australia, Europe, and the UK several months ago in four flavors however our own version will be available for a much nicer price tag and several other flavors.

Check it!

Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balm is a moisturizing lip balm that promises 8 hours of hydration with an SPF 20. It also promises to repair lips within four weeks of use so they are softer and smoother.

The balms will retail for $3.99 each and will be available in a clear formula as well as a tinted one.

Flavors:

  • Quenched (clear)
  • Peppermint (clear)
  • Cherry Me (tinted)
  • Pink Punch (tinted)
  • Grape Vine (tinted)
  • Peach Kiss (tinted)

Sigh…

Like I need another lip balm!

But hey, love the price!

I’ll try them for sure when they hit stores.

And you?

I definitely don’t need another lip balm either, but I know I will try this anyway. Probably one of the clear ones, but I’ll have to see how the tinted looks.

I saw these at my Meijer yesterday! But I am skint so no buying for me 🙁 Unless reviews come in are raving 😉

I’ve always been a huge an of Nivea Lip Balms, but don’t mind trying this one – as I would’ve never expected to see a lip balm from maybelline…

I bought one of these a few days ago at a CVS. I got the grape flavor. I like the packaging- no problems with the balm coming loose and scraping against the sides so far. The wash of color (in this case, purple) is sheer but pretty. Mine smells like a grape Popsicle. However, I found they left an unpleasant chemical taste in my mouth, and they aren’t particularly moisturizing. They sit on top of the lips rather than sinking in, smoothing, and soothing. At $3.99 I’m glad to have tried it. If it weren’t for the unpleasant taste, I’d probably buy the red cherry version as well.

I think “Baby Lips” is a weird name for product I’d like to carry around. I also dont really love the graphics on the packaging. This product seems more suited for summer! Despite all that, I would still love to try one. : )

I picked up quenched. It came in a container like the nivea lipbalms. I like it so far. My lips have stopped peeling in the morning.

  • Kelly

I’ve seen these at CVS and Ulta in the DC metro area as of about two weeks ago. Not in every store, but in a few already.

  • Traci

The packaging is kinda cute. I really only like clear lip balms, so I will check out Quenched when I see it.

  • Susan

Today I got quenched and cherry. I tried the quenched, like it so far. I love the texture, its not greasy and not too heavy.

I actually got sent them by Maybelline and I loathe them! They felt as if they dried out my lips instead of moisterise, but the instant I started using my regular lip balm again the dryness went away.

One of the other bloggers I read (she’s from Australia) raved about these and loved them. I keep looking for them in stores. I just hope the formula we get is the same one they had there – I’ve bought beauty products before that have gotten raves in the UK and then when they got here were kind of meh. I also wish they had an orange flavor.

I got pink punch but I haven’t used it yet, going to try wearing it to bed and if I like it I’ll get the clear too for bed and use this one during the day…my lips peel pretty awfully in the AM even though I slather them in vaseline before bed…smells really nice 🙂

Found it today – in the grocery store of all places!! I got the peppermint which is clear. There’s very little flavor to it but it makes my lips feel nice so far.

I found it at a local store, I got the kind in the blue package-Quenched I believe? It is what I expected, not as good as Nivea but it’s ok. The scent/flavor is nice though.

  • Tiffany

I recently saw them in my drugstore and the packaging it super cute! But i passed because well i have too many lip balms and i didnt know the price , but since its only $4 , well it wouldnt hurt to try it right?

  • Connie

I saw in some other blogs that these are packaged slightly differently from the picture on yours, can’t wait to see them in my stores

Tried the cherry, pink & peach ones. Cherry & pink were quite pigmented, the peach had very fine micro glitter. Didn’t like the fake scents & it felt like they just sat on my lips. Returned all 3 🙁

  • Blair

Seen it at my local CVS, wasn’t sure if I wanted to try it or not. I’ll wait till I see a few reviews and then consider it. 🙂

  • Julia

I wish we could get this in the U.K!! I e-mailed Maybelline and they said that there are no plans for it here. Us Brits always seem to miss out!!!

  • Samantha

Bought the quenched at my local cvs yesterday for about $4.50 including tax, a bit pricey for a lip balm but I really wanted to try it out.
The packaging is really cute and smells great, but it wasn’t as amazing as everyone said it was. Works the same way as my old lip balm, just has the extra spf 20 in it.
