Clinique and Lancome haven’t sealed the deal for me yet and Garnier, well, that isn’t doing it either! Doc Peter to the rescue?

I hope someone tries this soon and posts a review, as I have also run out of options. Clinique didn’t work for me either! Olay seems to be working, but not as dramatically as I’d like and the tube is way small.

I really hope you mean 12 weeks. 🙂 And I hope it works too. I used Clinique for the longest time and while it helped a little, it didn’t really do too much. It’s either this or that new Philosophy set.

I’m excited about this product. I have hyperpigmentation and have tried many different products but I’m still searching for my go to product. I’ve had success with some of his other products so I think I surely give this one a try.

I’m looking for something like this, but I wouldn’t hold my breath for this one. I’m usually disappointed by PTR.

The only thing that has worked to keep my spots at bay are a retinoid serum and vitamin c serum (from environ). Also diligent use of sunblock (at least 10% zinc). Those have transformed my skin. I used to have really dark freckles and now they are very faint. I never had much success with major cosmetic brands bc I feel like they have to cater to a wider market and thus make their formulations more tolerable to a wider range of skin types. Also, the good stuff (retinoids and antioxidants) are never high enough on the ingredient list.

I’m a para-medical aesthetician and in my experience the only ingredient that actually works to get rid of hyperpigmentation is hydroquinone. You can’t actually “reverse” the pigmentation in your skin. You have to correct your skins cells from the beginning stages of it’s development before the cell has a chance to form damaged and pigmented. Hydroquinone works by inhibiting the melanin production in your skin cells. You can combat the pigment with using that plus a retinol or something that will exfoliate the top layers of skin that is already damaged.

What can we do if we are allergic to hydroquinone until we get to the Dr.? What about non prescription products? How high in retinol should we or can we go?

I purchased this and have a bad case of melisma that worsened after a trip to Dominican Republic family enjoyed sun and I was trying to be normal and the spots and darkening was devastating – unless I’m losing it I honestly have seen “improvement in 3 days” can this really be???? If so I am thrilled – will post after 2 weeks to tell you what I think – keeping fingers crossed!!!!!!

Been using it for 6 weeks and no difference what so ever, very disappointed. My brown spots look darker than when I started using it. Any ideas ?
