Shop Maybelline Dream Mousse Concealer on Evil-Bay for Next To Nothing!

Maybelline Dream Mousse

The discontinuation of Maybelline Dream Mousse Concealer was possibly the stupidest decision the brand ever made.

This was solid gold HG (holy grail) concealer and available at the drugstore of all places. I can’t even begin to rant enough about the fact that Maybelline thought it was a great idea to dice it from their catalog. I just wanna know why?!

Either way I loved it and it’s gone and many of you loved it as well.

Which is why I wanted to let you know I’m noticing a huge flow of Dream Mousse Concealers popping up on Evil-bay the past two weeks. I dunno why, I dunno how but I’m not going to look a gift horse in the month. I’m seeing two pot lots for as little as $8 with Free Shipping, that’s a steal!

Hope this helps some poor soul who’s busy missing this most beloved concealer!

Enjoy!

I grabbed one at CVS Pharmacy when they were clearance – I heard it’s amazing but I have yet to try it – maybe I should now since the weather is getting cooler and I feel like concealing again

Muse, when I was in need for a concealer, I went to CVS to find it being nixed from the shelf. I was so mad. I know it’s your HG product and you are not wrong about concealers. I bought their Super Stay concealer, which is decent.

I would not buy makeup from Ebay, though. A lot of stuff are counterfeit and I don’t want them to burn my skin.

sorry dao was just trying to help folks locate a favorite product…I honestly never came across counterfeit maybelline on E-bay but I guess it could happen :)

I think the only time you could ever get burned (no pun) from makeup on eBay is if you buy MAC or NARS on eBay.

I was devastated when they discontinued this concealer. It was my absolute favourite concealer for under eye circles and I haven’t come across anything near as good so far :( I thought about buying one off ebay but I recently had a rather nasty exchange regarding a fake MAC eyeshadow which I’m still pretty annoyed about.

Why did they discontinue this? I very stupid mistake I think!

I am so heartbroken they stopped making it. It was one of the only concealers I ever used and it was because it was a dry dense formula that never broke me out. I’ve used the hard candy glamouflage but its oil based and gets runny after a few months. :/

I will be asking my husband to help me with Ebay…I’m so uncomfortable with the site but I can’t find any place that still has it.

Sorry for the double comment. I was actually so heartbroken I went on Amazon. (Duh, why did I not think of that earlier?!) And to my complete delight, I just picked up 4 of those concealers for 9 dollars and change from this seller, One Dollar Grocery Store. I am the 0-1 Fair in case anyone is wondering.

There is another link which had them super inexpensive.

Ugh! Why must they do this to us? Of course i’ve been sour on Maybelline since their brilliant millennium collection and promise to keep that quality up only to see them continue to be blah.

Pigments and tons of Shimmer! Shimmer Powder a decade before Too Faced came out with Candlelight, etc. I spent 15 hours last weekend organizing and cataloging my makeup. Now that it’s all organized I’m going to start swatching, photographing it all to show the Muse some awesome ghosts of drugstore past.
        Maybelline 2000 rocked.

FWIW Avon had a mousse foundation that they discontinued, maybe the manufacturers decided these kind of prodcuts have a certain lifetime? or just a coincindence?

Muse, You’re all on to something. I did some digging :)
It is indeed more expensive to produce than other concealers. They attempted to create a cheaper packaging for it but the formula didn’t do too well in the tests. It also has a shorter sell life than other concealers.

I think it’s ridiculous because even if it’s a drugstore brand, consumers don’t mind paying a little more for something of great quality.

interesting jessica, I’d so pay more for it, it was an excellent formula…weird b/c they still carry their dream mousse foundation but axed the concealer, same packaging WTH!?

And it’s not like drugstore concealers are much less than $10 anyway…I think even if it was $15 but great people would still buy.

I’m hoping they only discontinued it so they can release an improved version of it in near future. I haven’t tried this concealer because I only just learned of it yesterday. And I really need an inexpensive concealer for my dry dehydrated face and super dark eye circles. I’m going to try to visit all the local drugstores if they still have this..heheh.
