Stila Dream in Full Color Palette Photos

Stila gave a sneak preview of its Holiday Collection to Star Members last week so I ended up hauling some of the new goodies to review. The Stila Dream in Full Color Palette is one of two new Holiday palettes from the brand that very similiar in design to last year’s Color Wheel Palette.

Let’s take a look!

This Palette includes:

  • 29 Eyeshadows
  • 7 Cheek Colors
  • Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner in Stingray
  • 16 Page Look Book

As you can see it’s pretty massive. I put a Sleek Makeup Pout Paint on top of it so you can get a feel for the size. I actually love it and the photos I took don’t do it nearly enough justice however it is very repetitive to the prior Holiday Collection release and also it’ll probably prove irritating to work with due to the smaller wells particularly when applying blush as how can a blush brush properly fit in wells that small?

But…it’s visually very pretty isn’t it?

It isn’t available at the moment but Sephora.com has listed it so I imagine you’ll be able to purchase it very soon! I’ll review and swatch it soon!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I would love to know if this set is made in China Muse, Stila’s larger sets and the combo palettes in the paper packaging, both 10 and 14 dollars ones, were made in China. I recently got the IT girl palette from Sephora and I really like it. It seems to be much better quality than the beach palettes that I have. I was hoping that this one is higher quality. Thanks!

ah I didn’t look sorry kiwi. but will def let you know when I review, I’m betting yes, it is. This is not like the It Girl Palette quality at all. I know just from looking at that this will be vastly lower in quality. the It girl palette was more true to stila’s original formula and these large sets def decrease the quality. That’s not to say it won’t have a very nice formula but it won’t have that creamy/powdery butter velvet finish that regular Stila shadows have including the It girl one you are loving on….but I haven’t actually tried, but I think I’m spot on with this analysis ;-D

Thanks Muse, I am having a hard time deciding what to get from some of the fall releases, I want all of them but I need to be reasonable even though I want it all!!! LOL. I will pass on this I do believe.

kiwi if you got last years you prob aren’t missing too much plus always can haul in jan during a sale bet it’ll be half off or something obscene like that girl!

One thing they got right on this palette is the darker shades are smaller. SInce we usually use them for contour or liner it’s nice to have the all over shades in a bigger purportion. KWIM?

Also the blushes are on the outside of the circle so you could swipe your brush towards the edge to completely load your blush brush without getting it into the shadows.

Looks pretty and well designed too.

true that majick about the darker colors however still find the blush wells way too small!

  • Anna

Hi Muse, do you know how long the holiday collections usually are available? I would hate for it to be sold out once I’ve finally made up my mind on buying it!

    • the Muse

anna well into December however sometimes things sell out but recently not so much with the economy…! it really depends and it’s anyone’s game how long they will remain in stock, really depends how popular they are but you def have a few months before it disappears ;D!
