About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Muse, why is Tarte just knocking Holiday 2011 out of the park? They’re going to steal the show! The lip tints and eye pencils are FULL size for just a bit over the price of ONE!

    I must have everything.

    Hopefully they’ll still be around during Sephora’s autumn/holiday F&F sale…!

    • the Muse

isn’t it crazy joyce? what a freaking value!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! def they will ;-D than you can haul at 20% off SCORE!

  • breyerchic04

I had made the decision to get the 3 pack of cheek stains, and there are none! 🙁

May haul the lippies at 20% off.

      • breyerchic04

Ok, I’ll hope. I really want a bronze and something plummy.

I really do like the lippies, I think I’d wear 4 out of 5 routinely.

  • Laci

I’m not a fan of big palettes (the UD ones are pretty much as far as I can go LOL), but I HAD to snap up the Lip and Eye Pencil sets as soon as they became available on Sephora’s website. They came yesterday. They’re so, so gorgeous! I can’t wait to play around with them some more. 😀

    • the Muse

  • diane

oh tarte…how i am so addicted..because the 8th world wonder & glow your way to gorgeous auto deliveries are not enough for me in oct, i NEED the lippied (i cant believe the price) & i LOVE the shadows in the rising star palette- will be ordering as soon as it’s in stock on sephora.com =D

  • Amber

I am definitely getting the lippies and the smoldereyes. I love those and just started with tarte so that’s a fantastic value for me. Still thinking about the palette but might. It’s a good price still. Thanks for the info! Can’t wait!

  • Winni

I need to go buy these stat. Or maybe wait for FF? Or go buy them? Or wait? Argh. Either way they will be making it into my collection; haven’t bought any makeup for a while!

      • Winni

Haha, i know, haven’t been around much, well, I’ve been lurking :). Been spending all my money on maternity clothes. We’re good, less than 3 months to go!

  • teasha

Any word on the blush colors in the samller $29.00 eye/face palette? Are they the same colors as the larger palette? Different? Are they regular colors or LE?
I bought the lip surgence and eye liner sets. I plan to get the rest of the collection, but that was all that was available as of a week ago. Love every item in both sets. Only thing is there was a lip that looked and was described as coral, but it was a red coral on me. Still like it though. The eye liners are really good. No repeats in the shades I already own (fig and plum). The violet and smoke are stand outs. The smoke has this navy sort-of sheen to it depending on the angle. If you do not like navy, no worries, it is slight. Least favorite is the silver black. Had to trace over my line twice, which still is not bad. Just not used to that with tarte liners. I am waiting for the smaller eye cheek palette to be available so I can just order both eye/face palettes in one shipment.

musarino….the Tarte SmolderEYES Amazonian Clay Waterproof Liners are amazing. I think you have that tarte kit that included the first one, Fig. I MUST HAVE this collection. $39 for 6? that is insane. they are $25 each, and these are full size! I’m on the hunt for this at sephora.

  • Sitka

Oooh, I love this eyeliner set! What a deal, the swatches I saw looked gorgeous… and I really really want to see swatches of that Rising Star palette… the colors actually look really pretty.
