Urban Decay Mariposa Palette for Holiday 2011

Morning guys!

Yesterday’s images weren’t so great on the new Urban Decay Holiday 2011 Collection so I just wanted to share some closer photos of the new Mariposa Palette.

Take a look!

Urban Decay Mariposa Palette $39 (Exclusive to Sephora, LE)
This palette mixes never-boring neutrals with sexy hits of shimmer and sparkle, and signature UD brights that truly explode. Just sweep them on, fast and easy, with the enclosed travel-size cruelty-free eye shadow brush. These shadows are laid out in color-coordinated quadrants (sets of four) that look amazing when worn together and can also be used as a starting point for creating your own color combinations. Housed in a gunmetal tin that displays a striking butterfly and an embossed UD icon, this assortment is perfect for everyone.

Includes:

  • Rockstar (deep purple)
  • Gunmetal (gunmetal gray with silver glitter)
  • Skimp (ivory peach sheen)
  • Infamous (magenta sheen)
  • Wreckage (taupe shimmer)
  • Haight (dark teal with shimmer)
  • Money (pale silvery green shimmer)
  • Mushroom (steel gray shimmer)
  • Spotlight (golden tan shimmer)
  • Limelight (gold shimmer)
  • Travel Size Eyeshadow Brush

Love it?

It’s up on Sephora.com at the moment but not yet in stock.

Will you be indulging?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. This looks so cute! I’ve been loving the palette’s UD has been coming out with lately! I’ll have to swatch it to see if it’s a must by though!

Is the musroom the same as the book of shadows one (I can’t remeber which book of shadows). If so I am getting it just for that alone!

    • the Muse

I assume so christal. I imagine they wouldn’t redo the color and give it the same name 🙂

I can think of indulging, yes, if this one will reach Italy ^^
But the neutrals are boring to me XD

  • Christina

I will definitely be getting this! I was debating about the 4th box of shadows but this wins all over the place. I like this more than their anniversary palette too.

Oooh… I’ve been lemming Mushroom for a while now, but I haven’t been able to track down the original BOS it was in, and I don’t have too many of the shades already. I’m definitely going to consider this.

Does anyone else think UD’s butterfly theme for the holidays is interesting? I think of butterflies as a more spring-y theme…

  • Melissa

I’m getting this one and skipping bos and anniversary. This is perfect for me size packaging and price wise too.

so there are MACbots who think everything MAC is gold… i’m a Urban Decay-bot. so, i’ll be getting this one too. any palette w/ even one exclusive color will be owned by me. lol

Hmm…I likes me some UD, but I already have the Ammo palette… Somebody please justify me buying this because I LOVE the packaging and UD quality but I don’t see me needing this color-wise. HELP! (…please?… ^_^)

I believe the only dup here for me is Gunmetal. I don’t have too many palettes because if they are loaded with glitter I find them just too hard to use.
This looks like mostly shimmer and I’m getting better at limiting the fall out.

What is with all the neutrals? When I think of UD I think of color. I want color with black and a highlight or three.
