Attention Please Make Up Base Cream Review
Let me tell ya, Pan Am, is all about the visual candy because the substance of the drama is so snoring boring…..
I thought this was the break out hit for Fall…? What the hell happened? Seriously, if it wasn’t for the clothes, hair, makeup, and accessories I’d have deleted it from my Tivo three episodes ago.
Gimme zombies and haunted houses, forget 60’s glam….!
Speaking of retro Stewardess’…Attention Please, a brand I recently introduced you too, seems to be doing some pimping for Pan Am as their packaging gathers up the retro vibe of travel days gone by.
Let’s take a look at Attention Please Make Base Cream and see if it offers anything better than the Pan Am TV show does. Yawn.

A moisturizing cream makeup base.
I happen to have dry skin so I do so favor a creamy, moisturizing base for makeup since it gives my skin a nice dewy finish allowing foundations and powders to look natural and flawless without caking up and accentuating drier areas.
Attention Please Make Up Base Cream contains shea butter and beeswax in a rich, nourishing formula that preps skin for makeup and promises to retain moisture while keeping makeup in place. The formula is mineral oil and silicon-free.
For something that contains shea this is actually rather lightweight and once applied doesn’t leave behind an oily, greasy-feel. It absorbs in a snap and leaves my skin dewy to the touch and allows my foundation, bb cream, or powder of choice to glide on easily. It has a subtle fresh scent as well.
It didn’t extend the wear of my makeup in any way, shape, or form but it does provide a good, solid base for makeup and eases dry spots and areas. It also allows my skin to remain moist for longer periods of time. I’ve used in the air conditioner which is notorious for drying my skin out and it seems to keep my skin pleasantly moist but never shiny. I’ve also used it brisk, cooler air which also tends to dry out and chap my cheeks and it seems to prevent this from happening.
Overall, I’m pleased with the results as it’s a nice, moisturizing base. I’ve tried lots of bases that have similar formulas so this isn’t particularly unique or special but it is my “purchase of the moment, that I like” so I’m cool with it.
A little disappointed it didn’t extend the wear of my makeup but not bothered much by this considering few products excel at this.
- Anyone who doesn’t like silicon primers.
- Those with drier skin that want a product that will keep skin dewy and hydrated throughout the day.
- Those wanting a hydrating primer to ease the way for powder products.
- Those looking to extend the wear of foundation, bb cream, or other makeup products.
- Those who aren’t keen shopping online, dealing with airmail, etc…(this is a Japanese product that isn’t available in US stores).
Attention Please Makeup Base is a nice little product although I’m not sure it proves worthy of tracking down on E-bay or an online retailer and having it shipped to the US. The creamy base has a nice moisturizing finish that provides all day hydration however you won’t find it extends foundation wear.
I like it well enough but as I mentioned not sure you need to track around the world wide web to locate it when you can find cheaper, easier to find options right here in the US.
What are some of your favorite moisturizing primers?
If you do find yourself yearning for it you can purchase on E-bay from AlphabeautyUK.
