Make Up For Ever Fluo Night Black Light Pigment

Now that Halloween is in full effect around here….I’m so ready to start the Haunted House round up.

Next Week I’ll be doing my yearly pilgrimage to Blood Manor plus other various insanely frightening places which reminded me of the new Make Up For Ever Fluo Night Black Light Pigment.

Who even needs this stuff other than people that might actually work at Haunted Houses or doing stage work?

Why do they sell it at Sephora?

Jump!

This is a new transparent powder that is only visible under UV light….I thought it was interesting that Sephora has taken to selling it since it seems like something an artist would need but not the everyday beauty junkie would want.

It’s formulated with extra fine fluorescent pigments that immediately glows when exposed to UV light yet it remains invisible to the naked eye.

Sounds cool but I doubt I’ll have need of it.

Anyone taking bets how many of these Sephora will actually sell?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Muse, that would be so awesome for partying! On the street you wouldn’t look like a crazy person in neon paint but once you get inside WHAM!

I don’t know if they sell it in Canada, but I think me and my friends will have to buy a pot to split.

odbery I was thinking it would be fab for once a year halloween use ;-D but can’t justify a full pot. It’s odd to sell at sephora though know? seems like something only a MUA would want a full jar of!

Maybe people who like to go clubbing would use it? That’s my guess, other than Halloween.

OMG the fun I could have with this and scaring the trio!! Do they make portable black lights?
    heh heh heh

I like how it says “pro only” lol. I’m sure a lot of clubbers would get good use of this!

Depending on how much it is I’d totally buy one just to have on hand. For funnies. 🙂

I’d use it for the haunted house my college puts on. And over 10 nights we might be able to justify it.

When I saw this, I was very curious as well. It reminds me of the old Manic Panic UV body paints…except much more classy. I wonder if it is ‘professional use’ recommended because of the controversy surrounding the safety of UV reactive pigments. Maybe it’s not for every day use or it’s only for over primer/foundation.

    Such a mystery.

I wish it came in smaller packaging and/or was cheaper. I saw the jar at Sephora recently and it looks so small. I really want to sample it just because it seems really cool, but am totally unwilling to pay full price :/

I can see Sephora doing pretty well with this in some locations. Now that the 1980s are making a comeback (shudder). Club kids and those rich party brats from the suburbs will buy it. Somebody will get really high and loose the container and will have to buy another one before the next weekends parties. It’s a powder so it won’t go bad on the shelf. I bet you this would make some really kick ass drag looks.

It’s “professional only’ cause it’s not eye safe. I’d get it if it came in a smaller and cheaper container, as I spend a lot of time at clubs.

I’ve been wanting to go to Blood Manor! How is it like? Perhaps this is the year I can finally get there 😀

lib it’s pretty great they actually opened up a new location in Manhattan. Some parts are funny like Zombie Strippers and others are pretty intensely scary! I’ve gone every year for the last several years and it doesn’t get any less scary imho ;-D the actors really jolt it to you!
