My Beauty Diary Orange Blossom & White Lotus Moisture Mist Review

If there’s one thing I don’t need more of in my life….

Not another facial mist.

But My Beauty Diary Orange Blossom White Lotus Moisture Mist is so terribly tempting!

My Beauty Diary is a brand well known for creating a range of Facial Sheet Masks in Taiwan. Recently they started dabbling their toes in the skincare water and have released some limited edition facial cleansers, scrubs, and now facial mists.

Happy Days!

Who doesn’t love when a brand we like so much suddenly takes on a new adventure?

My Beauty Diary Orange Blossom White Lotus Moisture Mist is a lotion/essence style mist. This simply means it’s a bit thicker than your typical facial mist and feels like a lightweight serum or essence.

The mist is infused with orange and white lotus plus contains something called Aquaxyl which instantly moisturizers and replenishes skin.

Does it work?

Actually yes. It’s a heavier mist so you’re not going to want to set your makeup with this little guy. I find it’s best suited for moisturizing your face in a quick mist. Simply mist, pat gently with your hands, and presto! Your skin will feel instantly hydrated. Mind you if your skin is as dry as mine you’ll want to prep with it and follow up with moisturizer but some folks are lucky enough to have normal skin or oily skin which requires lighter hydration and this provides just that.

The lightweight formula delivers an instant boost of moisture that makes skin feel supple.

The mist has a subtle pleasure orange & white lotus scent, heavy on the orange, which I found pleasant. I don’t think it should be an issue for sensitive skin types as I thought the scent was super subtle but you might want to spray in open air and take a little sniff prior to going full face with it.

The only issue I had with the product was the smaller bottle. This is about 2-3 oz size? I can easily go through it quickly if I use it daily! Sad sigh!

I enjoyed this one and thought it was a perfect prep for my moisturizer. You can of course use to set makeup or as a lighter moisturizer for normal to oily skin types however as a set for makeup do keep the bottle far back as it does mist heavily.

Very Muse Approved for purchase.

I got mine from Imomoko.com

Hmmm, not enough to decipher an ingredients list. I’ll email Imomoko and see if they have it. Thanks for looking. 🙂

ha my Taiwanese Mandarin is limited to food. LOL, shows where my mentality is

Haha, I plan on visiting Taiwan just to eat and buy skincare & cosmetics. Huzzah awesome exchange rate!

          • the Muse

amen! ;-D I went for Summer vacay, was amazing. Ate enough…I’m not going to finish that sentence and embarrass myself haha ;-D

So jealous! How much Mandarin is good to know for traveling there? I’ll have to send you a link to a Taiwanese show with Super Junior-M that shows them learning Chinese by going to the markets and eating. It’s awesome.

I personally think it’s very helpful if you do. A friend of mine who lives there was of course a big help. Taxi drivers in Taipei understand some basic English but many don’t. Many shops do have English speaking employees which is helpful and of course hotels do. Restaurants are fairly easy to navigate as well! It’s nice to learn some basic Chinese though just in case. Not that I have any really good master of the language..I know a basic sentence or two and words but that’s it.

It’s an adventure 🙂 so long as you are ok with being “the tourist” you’ll get by fine. I think almost everyone I met there was very helpful even if they didn’t speak English.

Ooh… this looks nice! I’ve only recently started obsessing over my skin, because after a quarter century of trouble-free skin, it suddenly became a sensitive-oily-dry-combo-breakout waiting to happen. So now I’m on the lookout for products to try. I’ve heard that one of the Korean beauty secrets is to use facial masks 1-2 times weekly. Are My Beauty Diary’s masks good as well? I’ve booked a trip to HK and I might see the products there. =)

hey anthea!!!! 🙂 I hear ya. I have crazy dry, dull skin gives me such brief :-/ I use them 3 or 4 times a week lol….prob overkill but love them ;-D I like Beauty Diary’s but I hear some people with sensitive skin don’t like them so be careful 🙂

In that case, I’ll get a couple of sheets just to try it out. And maybe I’ll try a facial mist as well. I googled and saw that they would probably have the products at Sasa stores in HK! XD

Muse, you don’t have to go to iMomoko. Check out the upper level at Kam-Man Foods on Canal Street near Mott..it is an Asian cosmetics wonderland. That is where I bought mine when it first came out..perhaps they might still carry it, or maybe they can special order it for you. They have ALL the Beauty Diary masks, and just last week I bought the Aqua Juju peach mist. I think it was 13.99 plus tax. You MUST go…you won’t be sorry..just tell ’em bebe sent you, loL..I practically live in that store. P.S., can you please do a review on Mandom Beauty’s Barrier Repair sheet mask? According to Mandom, this particular mask’s serum is supposed to resemble vernix caseosa, that stuff that covers newborn babies. I have their Baby Moist Milk essence as well as the companion face cream and I love it. It is very hydrating, so I think you would enjoy it. You can purchase the entire Barrier Repair line at Kam-Man Foods as well. Cheers! ;-D
