Napoleon Perdis Luxe Lip Gloss Collection Review, Swatches, Photos

You might think candy canes, Santa, and your mom’s homemade cookies are the best thing about the Holidays but beauty junkies know it’s all about the coffrets, the kits, the sets, the palettes, and the many steals and deals we can get on some of our favorite makeup products.

Tis the time for gift sets people particularly gloss gift sets.

I’ll tell you one I look forward to every, single year…the gloss sets from Napoleon Perdis, tis my favorite gloss set of the season.

Jump!

I simply adore Napoleon Perdis Gloss Sets as they are always so very unique and special. This year the Luxe Lip Gloss Collection is no different, it brings together five generously size glosses in some beautifully warm shades of color that are sure to please gloss addicts far and wide.

At a whooping 0.40 oz in size these glosses go above and beyond the size of your normal gloss size You’re looking at four times the size of a MAC Lipglass here. The best part? You get five shades in one set!

Sweet!

The set is $39 which ranges at $7.80 per a gloss so if you’re looking for the most bang for your buck when selecting from the wide array of lipgloss sets this season you need not look any further as this brings it to the table.

The color range here is made up of mostly nude, natural shades of peach however they also included a vampy berry to spice things up. The glosses all have a slim line brush for application that builds color up beautifully and slides safely inside each tube without splitting or shedding.

I have a few gloss sets from Napoleon Perdis and one thing that sticks out about them is the shade selection is always pretty unique and special. In this case I think some of the shades are quite pretty and might prove different from shades you already have as part of your stash.

Gloss formula is a tricky little devil…it wears comfortably, has a thick texture but still remains lightweight. It leaves behind a glossy, mirror-like finish and sports a tasty, fruity flavor and smell. Color pay off varies from gloss to gloss but most can be easily built up for more of a pop. It does bug me slightly that Napoleon’s glosses always have a formula that lacks any real stick or tackiness which results in rather short wear time which proves disappointing. The formula sports green tea and pomegranate extract to hydrate lips and the flavor is actually lychee extract.

The glosses don’t have individual names but you’ll get a milky beige (this was the meh shade for me as I can’t pull off such a mod nude), a vampy berry purple, a shimmering golden coral (a favorite of mine), a pearlescent beige peach (another fav), and a golden peach.

I’m partial to all the shades here particularly the peachy beiges however I couldn’t pull off the milky mod beige but I can easily use it on top of other shades to morph it slightly.

Overall, Napoleon Perdis Luxe Lip Gloss Collection is probably one of my favorite gloss set picks of the season. The shades are all so very me as I adore warm, rich shades of shimmering peach (this shade dominates in the collection) plus I love the large, generous sizes of each glosses.

At $39, you won’t come across a nicer set! I can even overlook the shorter wear time since the gloss has a formula that makes my lips look positively delicious.

Loves ’em!

Pretty! Usually with lip gloss sets, I only like 2 or 3 shades, but I like all 5 of these.

i’m not allowed to get any more lippies (I counted lip products last night and I have well over 60+) YIKES!

I always really love the smashbox sets but this year they seem a little boring but I might try this, I have to say that I am a sucker for good smelling lipgloss this is why I have not bought anymore Nars, hey speaking of do you know if the larger than life lipgloss smells any better than the regular lipgloss?
    Thanks and Hugs from Mexico.
BTW- I always remember you when we have above average sunshine (a balmy 80 degrees today), wishing you sunshine Muse!

This actually looks like a really great set! Not too pricey like most NP products, and .40 oz is HUGE!!!

  • Reena

havent tried this product yet… but reading this post and watching the swatches… I wanna get them all!!! hahaha

Just hauled this today, I actually exchanged the Tarte Lip Service collection for this. While I enjoyed the Tarte colors, I found the formula very drying on me and the sticks were a tad too pigmented for my liking. I usually play up my eyes a bit more and like a neutral glossy lip, so these are perfect. This set also contains way more product than the Tarte ones – .1 oz in those vs .4 oz in these, and for only $10 more! Anyway I especially love the peachy/bronzey shade and I think the vampy berry is a nice addition to this set for when I’m feeling dangerous 🙂
