NARS Hanamichi Kabuki Eyeshadow Palette and NARS Kudoki Kabuki Lip Set for Holiday 2011

NARS Holiday 2011 has released and it’s an exciting range of mysterious, sultry shades…some might say it’s a bit different for a Holiday Collection and they do venture outside what the “traditional” look for the Holidays is all about don’t they?

Taking things one step further some very special products from NARS will bring out many a true hearted NARS fan.

Take a look at the NARS Hanamichi Kabuki Eyeshadow Palette and NARS Kudoki Kabuki Lip Set and dare not to drool!

NARS Hanamichi Kabuki Eyeshadow Palette $65
NARS interprets the dramatic Kabuki eye with a modern and magnificent palette of high-impact, richly saturated hues for highlighting, shading and lining the eye. Accompanied by a hand-spun, wisteria-wrapped Kabuki eye brush and encased in an elegant pouch.

NARS Kudoki Kabuki Lip Set $125
NARS captures the drama and beauty of the kabuki lip in this exquisite coffret, named for the graceful, feminine dance of kabuki theater. Takebue, Ougi and Botan, three richly saturated shades, are accompanied by an elegant hand-spun wisteria-wrapped kabuki lip brush. A keepsake wooden bento box encases this specialty limited edition item.

I’m quite pleased to see that the original Bento Box Collection from last year is improved upon with the new Kabuki Lip Set. If you remember the Bento Set contained two lip pots for the same price where as this year the packaging is even more exquisite and you get the extra lip pot. Nice right?

Both products are available now at Nordstrom.com

Will you indulge?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Love the eyeshadow – it seems quite a few brands are using flowers in their palettes this season.

The holiday offerings look even prettier in person. And yes – I will be using mine.

The cups for the lips are smaller than those from last year, and the colors are different. In other words, in the event that you have the set from last year, you are not duplicating the colors. Also, they have a set of eye pencils that are too damn cute. And a set of nails that are nice, too.

All in all, they really stepped it up for the holiday, and I think they did a nice job. Very different, which is nice when everyone else does the variations of gold shimmer, red lip, smoky eye.

I didn’t get them last year, but man, I think I may kick myself for missing it this year.

well worth a haul steph quite a gorgeous little selection from nars 🙂

Might just have to add a few extra goodies to my cart since I’ll be ordering online. Looks like if I order the lip pots, Nordstrom is giving me a whack of free goodies! Seems totally worth it!

OMG the eyeshadow pallette is so beautiful.

And I drool over the bento box (but not the lipstick).

  • Emily

I might’ve gotten the lip set if the price wasnt so steep. I’m not really all that familiar with NARS and this is probably a good deal, but it seems kind of expensive…

  • TokyoChel

Wow, so beautiful and unique! Seems pretty expensive, but awesome nonetheless. I love the brushes too.

  • breyerchic04

I don’t know why but I always think a thin layer of lipstick in any sort of dish is sexy. I guess I should try DIYing it.

  • Andrea

Is this lip set limited like last year’s, where there were only 1,000 available in the States?

  • MC

I may have to at least treat myself to the eyeshadow….it’s so pretty……

  • greenteahoney

omg!!!! the holiday collection is LOVELY!!!! so oriental-like… =P

  • Carolyn

It’s going to be hard for me to resist the eyeshadow, but OUCH, that’s expensive. So pretty, though…

  • Blair

oh my goodness. This is the most beautiful thing I’ve seen all week – or make that all decade!

I agree with Sarah S. – even if I gave in and splurged (99% possibility I probably will) I probably wouldn’t use it, or at least not right away. It’s too pretty. <3

  • Musebeliever

I’m done for. More japanesey stuff ! >.<
But the lip palette (which is the most pretty make up thing ever) is too expensive for me… *sigh*
I want the eye palette !

  • Majick

I wanted the bento box last year and was all over it until I saw the price. I would have even rocked the colors BUT – i just couldn’t bring myself to spend $125. Maybe if it had come out in September it could have been my once a year “splurge like crazy” gift to myself.

I like that they didn’t dup colors in this one but I thought the colors of the first one were a little better. I will just love it from a far – I can control myself when prices soar to the “all my shoes are Louboutin’s” level.

If you get any of this collection please please SWATCH! It’s really expensive porn for some of us. LOL

    • the Muse

ha will do majick although I may charge monthly for the really harder makeup pr0n swatches like these ;-D hahah!

      • Majick

LOL – too funny. I just sent the link to a friend of mine who loves Japanese culture but doesn’t wear makeup. Secretly I was hoping she’d have to have it and then decide she didn’t use it and then give it to her friend.
        She didn’t bite…;-( = 😀
