Princess Carnival Aegean Rose Moisturizing Mask Review

Princess Carnival is a range of sheet masks from Asian brand IsQueen. The facial sheet mask collection has a cutesy, “My Beauty Diary” feel about them.

These are fairly inexpensive at about $5 for 5 masks each however since we are in the US we do have to worry about paying online retailers far more for them. It would be ever so nice if sheet masks were as easily to come by in our drugstores as they are in Asian ones. Facial Sheet Masks we do have access to such as from brands like Shu Uemura are triple the price in the North American market.

So unfair…

Jump!

Princess Carnival range of facial sheet masks have an interesting twist as they each come with an extra 5 ML of essence which you’ll use in conjunction with the mask and after the mask.

Each mask is made from a thin fiber cotton and is saturated in a lotion that contains rose for hydration. The extra moisturizing properties also aid in smoothing fines lines, dryness, and helps to maintain moisture.

The first step in this mask is to massage half the the contents of the olive oil serum (this is housed in a small packet on the side of the mask’s packaging) onto your face. After patting the serum into place, place the mask over your face, and leave it for 10-30 minutes.

They suggest rinsing with water after you’re done but I simply skip to the next stage and apply the rest of the serum to my face.

The mask contains rose Extract, Olive Oil, Squalane, Aloe Vera Powder, and Collagen and has a soft, Victorian Rose scent. If you’re sensitive you might want to skip as the scent might be off putting for some but I personally found it very pleasant.

Although the mask does little for easing dullness, whitening, or brightening my face it does super charge my skin with intense hydration. I particularly like this mask prior to bed as I wake up with soft, smooth, super moisturized skin. I normally have patchy cheeks and a bit of flakiness between my brows…this eases those areas beautifully and leaves my skin dewy and bouncy to the touch.

I liked this one alot even though it doesn’t offer anything else aside from hydrating properties. One thing that does irritate me is the thinner fabric has issues with tearing so be careful if you’re constantly patting or touching the mask when wearing it as it’ll rip very, very easily.

You can grab a box for $7 (five masks total) at Sasa.com

If you suffer from dry skin, I highly suggest these!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model.
