Proactiv Oil Free Moisture Review

Gurl, my skin is on freak out mode lately. I don’t have issues with acne, break outs, etc…but I do have super dry, dull skin. Maintenance is the word here. I have to keep my hands on my skin 24/7 because if I let it go things start to get super scary around these parts.

Using a rich moisturizer in the day makes my skin shiny and oily looking. As in wanna fry an egg on my face? That’s why I normally stick to richer moisturizers in the evening and a lighter one in the day.

Much to my delight I got a sample of Proactiv Solution Oil Free Moisture and I actually like it. I say actually because Proactiv is the type of brand that I think of for problem skin solutions but this one can be taken advantage by anyone.

Proactiv Oil Free Moisture is an oil free moisturizer with an SPF 15. This is fragrance free and hydrates skin quite nicely without giving it an oily, greasy look or feel. The thing I like about the formula is the lighter texture that allows my skin to breath while it hydrates. Even my dry skin can get on board with this. If your skin is oily, acne prone, or just plain sensitive you’ll love how gentle this is as well!

I liked this one alot and can see it becoming a part of my daily regime in both the winter and summer months!

I use proactiv, but never tried this! I think I should now! I really like their toner, it cleans deep and hydrates! It keeps your skin from feeling tight! I also like their translucent pressed powder and blotting sheets!

I absolutely adore some Proactiv products. I don’t use the moisturizer, but the cleanser is amazing. I don’t even have acne… I just use the cleanser because it makes my skin look really soft and smooth and cleans out my pores like nothing else. The toner is great, too. However, I do NOT like that they’re subscription based and that they make you get the kit on a regular basis. I wish I could get regular deliveries of *just* the cleanser.

Not sure if they sell it at Ulta or not… there’s no Ulta near me. 🙁

You can modify your shipments! I get 2 toners and a lotion every 4 months, you can order if you run out before the 4months or postpone that shipment by calling customer service!

You can design your own kit to be sent on a schedule, but I want to be able to get just the cleanser. It’s not a big deal… I can always order the cleanser by itself, but I have to set the kit shipments as far apart as possible… which is just silly because I don’t want the kit at all. :-[

    Hi Muse,

What did you find the differences were between this Proactiv moisturizer and the green tea one (besides the SPF :))? I’m trying to decide which to try as I recently started using the regular 3 step system.

    Thanks!
