Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter is a new range of tinted lip balms available in an array of shades. The formula is supposedly quite slick and moisturizing. I haven’t been able to track down a display that contains any in buy-able form aka people have molested all the tubes I’ve come across and they are simply a mess. Hopefully I’ll snatch some up soon so I can review.

At Harmon’s they are $5.79 each and if the formula is as good as everyone is hyping them up to be that’s quite a nice budget price.

Anyone try them yet?

Do share!

I have this in Gumdrop and quite like it. It’s a cool lavender/pink and really moisturizing. I think I need one or two more. The Strawberry Shortcake one looks pretty too.

I’ve tried these, and got 2 shades. They’re pretty moisturizing, have a subtle, sheer tint, and are very affordable! When I purchased mine, the display was completely full–lucky for me. The only drawback is that they don’t last that long on my lips. I would still purchase other colors though 🙂

i’ve tried two (Sweet Tart and Candy Apple- my blog has swatches) and am loving both! The texture is soft and smooth- but it has the pigmentation of a lipstick. You can build it up or sheer it out- whichever you like. The packaging is a bit flimsy but still quite pretty. For 5.79 (I got mine at Bed Bath & Beyond) it’s a steal.

Yikes, that’s a pretty empty display! I found a brand new display at Rite-Aid last week & they are fantastic! I picked up Sugar Frosting (pale nude), Cotton Candy (sheer pink) & Pink Truffle (brownish pink). The first two are not that pigmented, Pink Truffle has a bit more color. They have very slight shimmer, a faint vanilla scent & they’re very moisturizing and comfortable to wear. They’ve been compared to Clinique Buttershine lipsticks & I’d say that’s a fair assessment, but a much better price point. Hopefully they’ll start showing up in more places soon 🙂

my display was stripped S ;-D how many shades are there anyway!? seems alot 😀 I can’t wait to try they sound amazing!

Muse, I’m not sure how many colors there are but I’d guess there are at least 10-15? There’s definitely enough that I bet you’ll find several you love:). Hope you find them soon!

I bought 2 of them last week when Riteaid was having 40% off. They are very nice. They are like a lip balm, lip stick, and lip gloss all in one. I love them! =)

I love these, if you can track them down they are worth it! I was able to snatch up 9 of them during last week’s 40% off Revlon Rite Aid sale, making them around $4.50. I had to go to three Rite Aids before I found them and they were worth it. Thankfully, there were not manhandled yet, whew!!! I am holding myself back from purchasing more this week, because they are not on sale again until next week. I have yet to see them at Walgreens or CVS yet. Hope you are able to find them pre manhandling!

p they sound great ;-D I’m really liking all the raves I’m hearing ;-D wish I had known rite aid had a sale darn!

    • Michelle

Sorry, I’m not understanding your post. Did you mean that Rite Aid was putting these on sale again next week, or that they would be going on sale somewhere else next week? Don’t mean to sound so dense, I really want to try these after all of the comments I’ve just read! 🙂

I’ve got these in a few colors. They’re very thick, extremely pigmented and long wearing. On me, they last 4+ hours with eating and drinking. They’re fairly moisturizing but not my favorite for that. For the amount of product you get, I think the retail price tag is a bit steep but if you catch them on sale, they’re a great value.

Checking in. I love these too. I have Fig Jam, and I use it daily. A lot of places are selling out of the cool colors – quickly.

  • yelena

do any of the drug stores have revlon sales right now, what wud be the best place to buy this wke?

  • kimkats

I just found these at a Walgreens yesterday – neraly new display! I just grabbed fig jam, b/c of the swatches I’ve seen, that one appealed to me the most. They’re BOGO half off this week at Walgreens (all revlon is, actually) but I didn’t have time to play with the colors, of which there are a scad. (I’m embarassed to say I haven’t even played with it yet either…)

But they’re out there – just still a lil hard to find!

I got two shades at lunch today, Pink Truffle and Berry Smoothie. They remind me of a higher quality lipstick that has good glide and medium to med-full coverage if used on bare lips. You could use them over balm and get a really sheer look as well. They were 7.49 at my Walgreens and they had a BOGO 50% off so I would put them around 5.62+ tax for mine. Some of the colors were very candy-like in shades, very bubble gummy and then there were a few vamp-y shades as well. I didn’t like the display, it was hard to see the colors and from the side all the packages run together, plus whatever SA put the display together mixed them all together. LOL There was no natural progression from light to dark or vice versa. Not a bad product considering I really dislike Revlon lippies normally.

I have tried the Candy Apple and I was charmed! I bought it right after!

  • Teresa

I have 6 of them, and they are fantastic. They are super moisturizing and have good pigmentation. My Rite-Aid had them for $7.49, but the 40% off sale last week put them at $4.49. I’ve got reviews and swatches on my blog.

  • TokyoChel

I’m one of the few people who really liked Maybelline Baby Lips (the peach shade is great!), but these come in way more colors and sound even better. More expensive, but I can’t wait to try! Haven’t seen any displays in my area yet tho…

    • Tammie

I also love the Baby Lips, but these Revlon ones are definitely different, they are more dense and lipstick-like, where the Baby Lips are more balmy and sheer.

  • Lulee

these are AMAZING. ive never been tempted to buy EVERYTHING from a line but i tried one and went back the next day and got them all #hoarder

  • Sandy

I found mine at Rite Aid. I ADORE them. I got Gum Drop, Berry Smoothie and one more that I can not remember the name of. They are awesome! If you can find them, stock up! Good luck girlies!

  • Stacey

I agree.. they are AWESOME!!! I scoped out drug stores all day yesterday and finally found them!!!! I bought 4 and LOVE THEM ALL!! Must go back for more! Good moisturization and good color coverage!

  • Jackers

Got two yesterday, Pink Truffle (MLBB) and Pink Frosting (Light Pink). Moisturizing, shiny, good color pay off and good price. I was so happy to get to try it. 🙂

It looks like this is going to be a permanent addition to the Revlon line starting in January 2012 with a retail price point of $7.49. There are a whopping 20 shades available–hooray! I’m sure with all of the drugstore sales going on all the time it’ll be easy to stock up on multiple colors. I’m just glad that Revlon chose to keep this product. Since I’m too impatient to wait, I’m hoping to snatch a few when I pick up a script at Walgreen’s tonight. Wish me luck! 🙂

    • the Muse

LOVELY! 🙂 I like them so far ;-D so I think it’s great they are adding to the perm collection!
