“I have vivid childhood memories of my mom standing in front of her bathroom mirror, carefully applying her strong white eye shadow and thick black liner for a cocktail party. After swiping on very pale lipstick and carefully applying false eye lashes, she completed her makeup routine with a few spritzes of her signature perfume. I thought she was so glamorous, like a Hollywood starlet.”-Bobbi Brown

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. If you’re that person feel free to reach out and leave a comment or follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Bloglovin‘.

As much as I love the look of most of Bobbi Brown’s collections, you know I don’t have anything from them? It’s so weird. Everything always looks nice, but for some reason I’ve never purchased. weird. This looks good, though, classy. :p Maybe that’s why I don’t have anything. Not a classy enough girl.

    • Kelly

I don’t own anything by Bobbi Brown as well, even though I always look at every collection and think it’s quite nice. For me it’s probably because it’s all nice and classy but nothing stands out.

      • Sara

Yeah, maybe that’s what it is. They’re all so well done and polished that they end up running in to each other. With nothing screaming “buy me!! buy me now or rue the day!!”

    • Tammie

I’d say the same if I wasn’t so into cream blush that I have 3 of her Pot Rouges…but I have a feeling that outside of that one product I don’t think I’ll get anything else from her. Maybe it’s the simple packaging and slightly high price point (other than the Pot Rouges which I feel are a decent value)?

      • Sara

I’d be in cream blush if they didn’t have silicones. I haven’t read the labels on BB’s blushes, but a safe bet is that there are silicones in them. It’s worth a check next time I’m at the counter.

        • Tammie

I found the ingredients on Sephora, although you’ll still want to check at the counter just to be sure:

Castor Seed Oil, Octydodecanol, Bis-diglyceryl Polyacyladipate -2, Dipentaerythrityl Hexahydroxystearate, Candelilla Wax, Glyceryl Triacetyl Ricinoleate, Polyethylene, Alumina, Bisabolol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Lecithin, Trihydroxystearin, Calcium Aluminum Borosilicate, Barium Sulfate, Fragrance, BHT, Iron Oxides, Yellow 5 Lake, Red 7 Lake, Blue 1 Lake, Red 6, Red 30 Lake, Manganese Violet, Red 22 Lake, Carmine, Red 28 Lake, Red 33 Lake, Bismuth Oxychloride, Yellow 6 Lake.

          • Sara

Hmmm….certainly sounds like it’s worth a shot then, thanks! 🙂

I’m fine with BB gel EL but that promo picture is a total turn off.

C’mon Bobbi Brown ! Bright BLUE eyeshadow ? You, who swore to God that the it was an absolute no-no !?! Bobbi, you’re disappointing me…
This is such an un-Bobbi picture…
The brand has gone less and less “Bobbi” since a few years…
