Karl Lagerfeld for Sephora Photos

Karl Lagerfeld for Sephora Photos 001

Thanks to Coquette in Paris who shared a little bit of the Karl Lagerfeld’s ego with me today on Twitter.

I guess I shouldn’t be too surprised that the Karl Lagerfeld for Sephora Collection launching at Sephora Europe and Asia includes various products featuring, well, Karl himself.

A little LOL’ing ahead.

Karl Lagerfeld for Sephora Photos 002

These are a little funny dontcha you agree?

When I heard he’d be doing a collaborated makeup collection for Sephora I didn’t expect it to be…well, umm, all about him?

Would you buy the collection if it launches here?

For added effect do see Coquette in Paris dressed as the man himself for Halloween! Brilliant! CLICK!

Wow, I certainly needed that laugh…It has been an awful day… My 5 year old dog has been sick lately and we took him to the vet today and he either has a kidney thing which is curable or he has some terminal stage disease,in which case we will have to let him go…Send some positive thoughts for us!
But yeah those definately made me smile!

irini my thoughts and heart are with you. My older dog has heart problems and it’s been a very long road so I totally understand. I’m hoping it’s something minor for your little pup, keep me informed! I’d like to know how you are both doing. I’m glad I got a little laugh into you today, it’s always the best medicine :)

give your little doggie a hug from me ;)

It is amazing how painful it is when a pet gets sick…It seems like only fellow pet owners understand what it’s like…

Oh, irini… So sorry for your pooch… Hoping it’s curable! Our older dog (7 1/2 year old lab – not really old) has megaesopagus, and it will be the end of her, we just don’t know when, so I kinda understand how you feel…. :( SO hard to watch them be sick – hoping all good things for your and your pup!!

And I agree – those Lagerfeld things are a hoot! What an egomaniac!!

how ridiculous! Who in the world would want to tote around a cosmetic case with an old man on it? And can you imagine what a pain those shadows would be to get out of the compact- I can see the edges of my brush fraying as we speak!

On a serious note, irini, I wish you and your pup all the best- sending positive thoughts your way!

wow don’t you think thats a bit harsh? “old man” is only the most revered name in fashion, so actually i dont think a lot of people would mind toting him around. yes he is obnoxious and narcissistic but that is part of his image/appeal.

Just FYI ladies – I actually worked on a photoshoot with Karl himself in 2010 for Harper’s Bazaar…. and while he’s certainly not warm and cheery, he’s not exactly as ridiculous evil queen as you might imagine. He actually addressed me – a plus size girl – directly. With words ! I was stunned (and can’t say the same of a certain Ms. Missoni, hmmm)

I have no opinion of him really other than he is another eccentric fashion designer that is uber wealthy. I actually kinda love the packaging, its sleek and elegant. I also really like the body shaped eye shadow pans. it’s probably outrageously expensive and more than likely I would never buy it, but I dig it!

I would totally get the eyeshadow palette. I want one. It’s too funny but neat at the same time.

Karl is a caricature of himself these days, I was a fan from wayyyyy back when he was at Chloe, now he’s everywhere and you kind of have to look at it with a “wink” . Not as much a fan as I used to be, but he does know how to design( and market :)

The eyeshadow palette made me actually burst out laughing! And then I started reading some of the comments! I wouldn’t buy, mainly because I have never been a huge Lagerfeld fan. Though in response to Jes, I would totally buy Warhol cosmetics, as I imagine opening a compact where the eyeshadows are all shaped like Andy’s head, a la some of his portrait artwork. I am also thinking good thought for Irini’s dog. Our cats recently died after 19 and 20 years with us and each other and it has bean hard without them after so long.

    2. if you follow fashion how can you not know who Lagerfeld is, he revitalized Chanel, has designed for many fashion lines all at the same time. is mutli lingual, very smart.

    3. Coquette in Paris, very interesting,
