Napoleon Perdis Tropical Heat Collection Review, Swatches, Photos
I brought out Summer today for my Fall look. Sorry, let’s revert back for a second and take a peek at the Napoleon Perdis Tropical Heat Collection from Summer 2011.
Jump!
I’ve been digging around my stash and enjoying all my bronze-y, peachy, and brown shades of blushes, glosses, and shadows for Fall. I like these shades all year round lately but I must say they are by far the funniest to wear in the Fall.
I hauled on one of the Napoleon Perdis Tropical Heat Sets I had left over from Summer this morning and dubbed it the perfect selection of Fall yumminess. It might be a Summer Collection but the shades are all Fall and the best part? It’s still available for a mere $39 from Zappos.com with Free Shipping! Score!
This set comes in three shade selections the one I have here is Sand and the warmest of the three. The set includes two palettes for eyes and cheeks plus a lipgloss all housed in hard-shell cardboard box with mirror. I like the presentation of the overall set since it keeps all the goodies together in one safe place however my stash is getting a little out of control lately so I do feel the need to toss the box to save a bit of room.
The set includes:
- Napoleon Perdis Luminous Lip Veil in Sand
- Napoleon Perdis Prismatic Eyeshadow Quad in Sand
- Napoleon Perdis Cheek to Chic Blush Duo in Sand
The set creates a really easy nude, natural look that’s completely work safe and quite elegant. I’ve dabbled with the Prismatic Eyeshadow Quad in the past and some are a hit and some a miss. The Sand color variation included with this set is a hit for me. Included are a beautiful rich golden brown, a soft matte tan, a golden cream, and a light, frosty tan. The only shade I had issues with were the tan as I wasn’t really sure how to sport this one however the golden brown is a beautiful color that looks stunning used on lids and blended up with a little of the white golden cream shade to highlight.
The Cheek to Chick Blush Duo includes a warm Indian clay shade and a frosty pink. You can pair these two shades together to create a glowing bronze look. I like using the warmer shade on my cheeks and the pink to highlight a little on my cheek bones.
And finally the Luminous Lip Veil in Sand is the perfect Kim K golden beige shade. The formula on this isn’t long wearing sadly but it’s a rather easy to wear, flattering shade of beige that doesn’t give the living dead look to lips merely a burst of natural beige with subtle shimmering gold.
This is a set I’ve reached for daily the past few weeks that just evoked Fall for me which is why I’m sharing it with you today. The inexpensive price tag makes it worth hauling for the chicas that really love a more nude, natural look!
Likey lots!
