Pixi Beauty Blush Review, Swatches, Photos
I do need a little beauty therapy and a helping hand when it comes to blush because yes, I admit, I am heavy handed. Clown cheeks! Freak out!
Freaking klownz are all kinds of scary. I dunno who thought that it was a good idea to slap a wig on someone, paint their face white, and give them a big red nose, it’s just such a freak-fest. Remember Killer Klowns from Outer Space? That shiz gave me all kinds of nightmares in my youth and up until today if I’m honest.
If you haven’t seen it, rent it, seriously it’s such a scary cheese-fest.
The Klowns are sadistic aliens who invade Earth and pitch their circus tent ship in a sleepy American Town and proceed to chase people down with their cotton candy ray guns. Inside the ship they keep the bodies wrapped in cotton candy cocoons. It sounds ridiculous but dude, it’s scary as hell!
I got off topic didn’t I?
Pixi Beauty Blush a simple solution to avoiding clown cheeks!

Pixi recently launched its new Beauty Blush Collection at Target. The collection consists of three shades of silky smooth blush infused with a ton of skin loving goodies like rosehip extract to soften skin, honeysuckle flower extract to sooth skin, and Vitamin E to protect it. The formula is also paraben and fragrance free.
The blushes come housed in Pixi’s traditional light green packaging with a flip top lid. The casing is clear without a mirror and has a small fairy/pixie on the clear face plate.
The formula is quite silky, blends easily, and has medium pigmentation that can be built up slowly. The joy of the blush for me is no matter how heavy I am during application or how much I build I can never truly over do it. The blush always comes across with a natural finish that’s very flattering. Believe me, I’m pretty heavy handed and I have absolutely no issues with clown cheeks here. It’s just a really simple, easy to use blush that comes out beautifully no matter the application method you use. The powder does have a pixie imprint however it swipes away fairly quickly with use sadly.
Shades available are:
- Healthiest Honey
- Purest Peach
- Perkiest Pink
Purest Peach is kinda a low key NARS Orgasm without the iridescent or shimmer you’d get from O or Super O. Perkiest Pink is a bright shade of pink and Healthiest Honey is orange-y beige. I liked Healthiest Honey the least as it made me look a tad tired and dull however the other two shades proved lovely.
Wear time was a little iffy on these and I did need a touch up around the fifth hour of wear which is unusual as normally my blush does wear all through the day.
By Pixi pricing standards they aren’t half bad at $16 each. I do deem them affordable since Pixi pricing can be a little on the high spectrum at times and these come in shy of middle brand pricing.
They aren’t the best blush I’ve ever tried in my makeup life but they do have decent quality backing them up and the ability to appear flawless and beautiful no matter how little or much you apply. I think the goof-proof formula is a plus for someone like me who tends to overdo blusher in a major way. If you have issues with blush appearing too bright or you need a more subtle, refined blush that gives a natural flush, you’ll enjoy these!
