Super by Dr. Nicholas Perricone Moisturizing Activator Review

Super by Dr. Nicholas Perricone Moisturizing Activator is one of four new facial toners. I’m a little obsessed with the Super Skincare Collection at the moment so I did a major haul during their Friends and Family Event and ended up scoring the Moisturizing Activator since I loved the Brightening one so much!

Has anyone tried these yet?

The Super Activator Series boast the powerful benefits of superfoods and increase the effectiveness of your skincare’s active ingredients and prep pores to take in nutrients more frequently.

Aka…

They are an interesting facial toner.

Let’s take a look at the Moisturizing Activator’s formula.

At $38 these are an ickle expensive considering each is a mere 4 oz is size but I thought the brightening formula was so effective I felt rather ok about dishing out on another bottle and hey 20% off helped it along rather nicely.

This is a glass bottle so you do have to be careful during applicator or where you store it particularly if you’re clumsy as if it falls it will indeed smash into a million pieces. The bottle features a pump applicator so you can place a piece of facial cotton under it and pump two or three times to saturated it. Now swipe it over your skin as a prep prior to serums, moisturizers, and other skincare products.

Sadly, I wasn’t impressed with the Moisturizing Activator as I didn’t feel like it hydrated my face or offered any added moisture to my skin. It preps nicely for my other skincare products however I’m not seeing any benefit outside of allowing my moisturizer to easily absorb into my skin but hey, any cheaper toner can do the same.

I had hopes that the formula would create a hydrating layer on my skin that would keep moisture locked in or at least offer further hydration in conjunction with my normal moisturizer of choice but this simply didn’t do much aside from working as a prep for my other skincare products.

I do think the Activators are well worth looking into and I loved the Brightening one but the Moisturizing version did prove an ickle disappointing.

Anyone try?

Do you think that these Activators can be patted into the skin like Asian toners?
