Tarina Tarantino Eye Dream Hyperliner Review, Swatches, Photos
With Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliners holding court in my eyeliner world along with Mally Beauty Eyeliners I really haven’t been on the look out for anything to take their place.
When Tarina Tarantino Eye Dream Hyperliners entered my life I was prepared to play but not to love.
Jump!
Tarina Tarantino Eye Dream Hyperliner are a newly repackaged eyeliner from the brand. Sephora has thirteen shades available for $15 each which is quite a good deal considering they were originally $17 as I have one of the older ones I purchased at that price.
These are comparable to mine or what can be dubbed our most favorite eyeliner of choice, Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliners. They are soft, smooth, offer an easy glide sans tugging and skipping, and have a nicely pigmented pay off. I dread trying a new eyeliner and finding out how terribly hard it is but no such issues with these, they have a very soft glide and deliver plenty of color with a single stroke. I had no issues with smearing, flaking, or general raccoon woe. On my waterline I can get at least four hours of wear before color disappears, this is fairly good wear since the waterline is such a tough little spot to keep your liner wearing long and strong.
The packaging revamp brings the brand into a more simple level versus the older, girlish packaging which had a princess-y vibe. I actually like both the old and the new packaging so I don’t mind either way. The liners now have a colored tube displaying that of the same shade inside the pencil versus the old packaging which was pink and silver. This new packaging, of course, makes things easier as you can grab what you need and know exactly what color you’re snatching up versus the pink packaging where you needed to uncap to see what was inside or read the label (unless you remember the names of shades, reading the label isn’t entirely convenient).
Shades I tried:
- Tommy Jet (rich, deep black)
- Kanzashi (turquoise with silver shimmer)
- Glamourous Thief (rich sapphire with blue shimmer)
- Broken Doll (shimmering frosty light pink)
- Puppeteer (dark brown with bronze shimmer)
- Cute Robot (metallic deep blue violet)
At $15 per an eyeliner they offer a nice little savings compared to other eyeliners of the same caliber and the same size. The formula proves easy to apply and beautiful to wear.
These ones deserve a Muse Approval.
I highly suggest swatching them your next trip to Sephora.
