Tarina Tarantino Eyelicity Glitter Eyeliner Review, Swatches, Photos

Tarina Tarantino Holiday 2011 Collection, Aurora has launched at Sephora.com

The collection includes a gorgeous new Jewel Eye Palette as well as a blush palette that’s sure to get you excited.

Along with these goodies the introduction of the new Eyelicity Glitter Eyeliner is also on the horizon!

Have a look!

Am I the only crazy girl that tends to get our shimmery liners during the holidays? I swear all my glittery eyeliners tend to come out as the Holidays draw closer particularly Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Liner. Honestly we don’t need excuse for bringing out the sparkle but I do tend to overly do it for the holidays!

Eyelicity Glitter Eyeliner are a new collection of sparkly liners that Tarina has introduced as part of her Holiday Collection but I suspect you’ll see more of them soon since Sephora says that 13 shades total will be available. As of now they are offering three shades.

Colors include:

  • Abalone (sheer white with iridescent glitter)
  • Black (smoky gray with black and iridescent glitter)
  • Silver (light gray with silver glitter)

Surprisingly enough these aren’t loaded down with shimmer. Hey Tarina, she likes her sparkle so it was shocking that these didn’t include a a TON of shimmer but no worries each liner has plenty of sparkle to calm your shimmer monster. The liners come with a small straight line brush for application. I find shimmer liners are fairly easy to apply versus regular liquid eyeliner which I stink at. You can’t really make a mistake here as the colors glide on easily and leave behind a touch of lovely sparkle. Black Diamond does have a dose of pigment but I suggest lining eyes prior with your regular eyeliner and going back over the line with this for the best effect as using it as a black liner alone simply won’t work.

I liked these well enough but I do think Urban Decay Heavy Metal Liners have the upper hand here in terms of value and sparkle factor. If you’re looking for a ton of shimmer these don’t have that plus the $16 price tag and 0.17 oz size isn’t as sweet as Urban Decay’s offerings of 0.25 oz at $18.

You might wanna have a little swatch and a play your next trip to Sephora as I liked Black Diamond which had a far better finish than Urban Decay’s Glam Rock shade.

These are available now at Sephora and Sephora.com

What sorts of shimmer liners do you love?

Honestly the W&W fantasy maker line features more glitter than these and they’re 3 bucks or so, the applicator on the W&W is also thinner which I prefer.
