Tarina Tarantino Gem Gloss Review, Swatches, Photos

My holiday season is complete since hearing that The Inbetweeners Movie is releasing December 12th. I just pre-ordered my copy because I need my Blake fix, kid got moves!

What are your Holiday DVD Wish Lists looking like? I know what’s off mine, HP Years 1-7 what a cop out! Virtually no extra features and a relaunch in Spring with another special edition Blu-Ray set…Warner sure knows how to suck up our money from that franchise.

I feel like I watch alot more movies during the Holidays. It’s nice settling into the couch after a big meal with friends or family and watching a flick or on a cold night.

I thought it was funny that I was spending more on DVD Sets this year than Holiday Makeup. How are you doing with your Holiday hauling?

I’ve revised my Holiday Wish List to include more Tarina Tarantino Gem Gloss after trying a single shade out. I need them all please.

Jump!

I actually never tried the Gem Glosses for some reason or another but I’m glad I have now as my Sephora Friends and Family List Deux features several shades on it after trying out this one I sampled recently.

These are the same glosses that came in pink packaging with a ribbon emblem so nothing has changed here outside of the packaging which is now sports a slick, gunmetal grey cap.

Gem Gloss has a nifty applicator which makes using the gloss a treat as this slanted applicator picks color up beautifully and builds it on lips easily. The sponge tip saturated well with color so you can pretty much get the gloss on in a single swipe and build up as needed. MAC Lipglasses seriously need to sport an applicator like this as I’m constantly double dipping with ’em!

The formula on these has a nice lightweight feel with a medium color payoff or at least the shade I tried did. It feels very comfortable on my lips and has a fairly nice wear time of about three hours sans drinking or eating. The finish isn’t terribly shiny but it has just enough to add the right bit of pop to your lip look.

The color I tried was My Pretty which is a lovely golden peach, kinda reminds me of NARS Orgasm for some reason.

Overall, I’m liking these alot and have added six other shades to my Sephora wish list. Yup, I need more.

Want a really cool deal?

Snag the Mini Gem Glossette Set for $13 at Sephora.com and try several shades in a single go (that one is in my cart too!).

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Always wanted to try Tarina’s stuff, since I have been lemming her jewelry for ages! Maybe I’ll have to pick one of these up 🙂
As for DVDs on my Christmas list, I’m asking for the Potter Ultimate Editions of Order of the Phoenix and Half-Blood Prince (been collecting these since they started releasing them. They come with the movie, an extended version, an hour-or-so documentary, and a DVD of extra features. Plus it comes with a book of concept art and photos from the film and collectible character cards. Not bad for $25.). In addition, I have Series 1 of Doctor Who and the Tennant Years box set on the list XD It will hopefully be a very nerdy Christmas 😛

brilliant! I was way disappointed in 1-7 set OMG nothing at all extra about that set, really bare bones…will wait for Spring 2012 to haul the box set as they are releasing again withe extended cuts/extras. What a cop out! I’m already golden on Who. Pretty much have everything they have released on DVD to date and thankful they’ve gone all the way back to great serials like The Sontaran Experiment. Do wish they’d start grouping these into sets for the year as they prove as ways to collect them in single dvds…grrr! Same for Dark Shadows, just slap that shiz in a box set and put a crazy price on it, I’ll buy it ;D

Haha! Yes! The 1-7 set was such a let down! I honestly don’t need it as I already have them all, so at this point I’m just getting the Ultimate Editions for the collector value. I’ve been watching Who online now that we lost BBC America, so I’m pretty desperate for the DVDs, haha!

Muse, I bet you wish you were my friend IRL because a lot of the gifts I’ve hauled for my close friends and family you might be interested in :)…as mentioned before several peeps are getting Lush’d this year– Gorgeous moisturizer for my BFF. My brother’s girlfriend is getting Celestial moisturizer along with Jackie Oates foundation–she has been looking for the perfect foundation and I think with her ultra-fair skin (which can get a little red) it should be a good combo! I expect that I will also be getting a few folks various Lush gift sets as well. Last year I got my cousin the Wild Child set and she loved it because the name and ingredients fit her perfectly! I also will be giving away bars of Snowcake as stocking stuffers! I’ve already hauled quite a few DVD sets for my nearest and dearest such as Doc Martin, Being Human, Page Eight (my mom is gonna be so happy!), Downton Abbey, and Breaking Bad. Also my three best friends are huge Smiths fans like me and so they are each getting the new remastered box set that has all of the albums! I love to get people special calendars too…brother is getting an Aston Martin calendar to go with his subscription to Top Gear mag, one close friend is getting Doctor Who calendar, etc. Sigh…I do tend to spend too much money and go overboard at the holidays but I love making people happy! 🙂 I’m not sure I’ve heard of the Inbetweeners, will need to check that out! Have you heard of The Only Way Is Essex? I’m kind of dying to see it, would be a fun guilty pleasure…I’ve heard it’s the British Jersey Shore, ha ha! Not available stateside as far as I can see. Also I just saw that there are going to be new AbFab episodes in December…was always a huge fan.

Awesome about the DVDs…my only question is, do you have to have an all-region DVD player to order from Amazon UK? I’ve ordered books and other stuff from there before but never DVDs.
