tarte Precious Gems Waterproof Cream Shadow Collection Review, Swatches, Photos
The Tarte Precious Gems Waterproof Cream Shadow Collection is another lovely little scene stealer set for the Holiday season. This one features four full size Tarte Waterproof Cream Shadows for $40 (that’s $10 bucks a pot, sweet ginger brown!)

Now the pots may appear tiny but these little guys actually have the same amount of product in them as a MAC Fluidline (0.1 oz). A single MAC Fluidline will set you back $15 but broken down you’re paying $10 per a pot for one of these.
I’ve reviewed these in a prior post in ALOT more details so I do suggest you check that review out for more swatches and details by clicking here as I am only going to do a brief recap of them here!
The formula blends easily and has a sheer to medium color pay off that can be built up. These glide onto lids easily and leave behind quite a nice metallic finish. These are quite firm but they still manage to have a creamy feel once they warm up. They can be used on lids alone and they work quite well as an all over color eyeshadow but you can easily use as a base for your loose pigment or powder as well.
The selection of shades here are brand new to my stash and although some sport a similar name and color variation as a few pots you may already own they do differ slightly. For example I already own Moss which is an olive green however this set includes Shimmering Moss which is a deeper forest green. I was quite pleased that none of these colors are duped by ones I already own. Other shades include Plum Smoke which is a lovely royal plum, Shimmering Golden Beige which is a light, frosty yellow gold, and Pink Champagne which is a soft beige pink.
Tarte also included a full size flat head brush for application. The brush is a God sent as it worked color on very smoothly and evenly for a flawless finish.
Overall, the set is another in a long list of greats from Tarte this year. They really gave us a bang for our buck this Holiday season as most sets like this from other brands contain mini sizes of products but all of the gift sets from Tarte this year seem to pack full size everything. Talk about a great savings.
