Bath & Body Works True Blue Cool & Fresh De-Puffing Eye Gel Review

You ready for this?

How about this?

And most important this?

Gawd, I love Holiday movie time.

Anything you’re looking forward in the theaters or coming to DVD?

All those films will keep you up late so we’ll need a little something, something to keep our eyes awake and puff free, perhaps a little True Blue De-Puffing Eye Gel?

Jump!

Bath & Body Works has extended its True Blue Spa Collection to include a few facial skincare products here and there. Cool & Fresh De-Puffing Eye Gel is one of those products.

I’m always buying into these gimmicky roll on eye treatments in the hopes they’ll de-puff my tired eyes and in most cases none of ’em work. However, props to BBW for creating one that actually is worthy of a pick up. This one sports a cooling applicator so at first application you’ll feel a burst of coolness from the metal roller ball. Most cheapie rollers don’t have this feel heck, some expensive ones don’t either! But this feels very refreshing and icy and indeed works as de-puffing a little bit. The gel smooths on nicely and promises to soften finer lines and has a formula that contains cucumber extract and caffeine. Caffeine is supposedly an excellent ingredient for going to battle with your baggage.

If you suffer from puffiness due to allergies or sleep deprivation from staying up a wee too late this might help deflate those bags however aging eyes probably won’t notice too much difference. I saw a little relief but nothing dramatic sadly.

At $12, it’s a nice little budget pick and actually has a worthy packaging and formula. Some folks will probably see great results where as others not so much. It really depends on how much luggage you’re carrying around under your eyes. It def didn’t aid with finer lines but it does feel cooling and soothing and helps revitalize my tired eyes a little bit. Not sure I’d repurchase it but it wasn’t a complete bust either.

Available now at Bath and Body Works.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse.
