L’Oreal Colour Riche Le Gloss Review, Swatches, Photos

God help us the Nerdist is back, shoot me in the head please so I don’t have to deal with Hardwick. I swear he’s the male version of Rachael Ray, so loud and easily excited.

Ugh.

Please a little makeup to sooth my wounded soul over having to watch Chris Hardwick make a fool of himself on Christmas Eve.

I’m feelin’ the love for L’Oreal lately since they introduced their new balms so I hauled out some of their Colour Riche Le Glosses.

Let’s take a look!

By now you’ve tried these I’m sure. If not, haul ass to the drugstore and pick some up! They are actually very well done.

These are a full color lipgloss with a comfortable, lightweight formula, a high shine, and brilliant pigmentation. I think the joy of the gloss is the full color payoff as these have a seriously nice pop of color which is unexpected for drugstore brands which are typically very sheer. The formula isn’t too thick, nor is it too sticky and has a smooth, even glide even on drier lips.

Wear time is a little iffy here so you might need a touch up or two after the first few hours, say two hours, of wear but I honestly ignored that since I was so happy with the pigmentation of the glosses. The glosses sport a cupcake, vanilla flavor which I thought was pleasant but if you’re a bit sensitive to flavor and fragrance in your gloss be aware although I didn’t feel it lingered very long once applied.

Even better yet is the fact that L’Oreal has these available in such a wide variety of colors. With 16 shades to choose from your guaranteed to find one that you’ll love!

Shades (swatched from left to right):

  • Saucy Mauve (pink-ish shimmering mauve)
  • Really Rose (creamy dusky rose)
  • Blushing Berry (rich, creamy raspberry)
  • Nude Illusion: (nude, light bronze-y shade)

Overall, L’Oreal Colour Rich Le Gloss offers a luxury formula with an inexpensive formula. I think if you crave more higher end lipglosses but simply don’t have the cash to indulge these are a great way to improvise as the formula is quite lovely and the price tag evens out beautifully particularly with so many BOGO offers at CVS, Walgreens, Etc…Ulta has them now with a BOGO Offer.

I liked these alot.

Well worth a Muse Approval for purchase!

Tried them?

Love them?

Do share!

I can get down with the BOGO. The Saucy Mauve & Blushing Berry look really good.

But Muse, he’s going to have David Tennant! I love me some David Ten Inch! I’ve tried to bootleg watch many of his BBC mini movies, and he’so good! in blackpool, he was always eating and in single father, I cried like a baby! and of course, as The Doctor, a total fav!

don’t forget wil wheaton ;-D haha! I loved Love Life! So sweet ;-D surprised it never came to Masterpiece Contemporary! maybe next year? but…hardwick is a total fool ugh I find him so annoyyyyying!

      • Ruth

Wil is hilarious! Love his cameos on the big bang theory! I find chris funny in small doses, but he does get some awesome peeps to interview! I listened to his podcast with Ozzy at work and laughed like a loon!

        • the Muse

LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEE him. since childhood. I developed a crush on that boy since stand by me and when Trekkies can debate his existence on generations but this Trekkie adored him on it! I agree, the cast really gets some amazing guests, ozzy was a hoot btw ;-D adore him but Chris can be really overly annoying sometimes, dunno why he gets under my skin. like a wannabe geek or something!

I have this in Mystic Mauve I love it! I’m thinking about picking up Really Rose for a MLBB color as well as Blushing Berry, Peach Fuzz, and Golden Splash. Heck I just might buy all of them! lol

    • the Muse

golden splash is on my list too telly ;-D hehe at this price who could resist ;D!

I think of myself as a bit of a nerd but try as I might, I could not get into that podcast. Aside from a few good guests, it was insufferably boring and disorganized. Yes, you watch/read/listen to interviews because you’re interested in the people being interviewed, but you go back to the same sources for interviews because those people are good at what they do. Nerdist? Not so much.

I wish I could love Le Gloss as the colors seem great, but I am horribly allergic to something in them though as far as I know, I’m not allergic to any natural substance or any other beauty product. Just a little warning. I found a Sephora lipgloss that mimics Blushing Berry which is one of the shades I tested before discovering my problem.

I listen to it when they have good guests but I agree on all accounts cat. The show is really hardwick whoring to me. he just seems like such an idiot sometimes. dunno he gets under my skin for some reason!

aw sorry to hear! wonder what it is that’s causing your issue hm!

  • Kerry

Muse if you like these def try out the elf super glossy lip shines! I find them are very similar to these they are not sticky, smell like gummy bears, and give really nice pigmentation. I would really recommend the shade goddess!

  • Alex^^

I have Golden Splash (Jennifer Lopez just looked too pretty in that ad for me to pass up!) and I love it! I love the taste and color payoff 😀

  • Sarah

Aw, I like the Nerdist podcast. I just wish they didn’t swear so much.
