Maybelline Dreamy Bouncy Blush Collection

Maybelline seems to have some updates on the horizon for Spring 2012 when it comes to their Dream Mousse Collection. Many of the products are available on clearance at the moment in various drugstores (particularly CVS) I’ve been to lately. No worries though the collection isn’t disappearing for good merely being replaced by brand new offerings.

From what I heard the glass jars that the Dream Mousse products came in failed to keep the product fresh, this is unconfirmed of course, but it could be one of the reasons we are seeing newly packaged products. This, and of course, Spring 2012 is on the horizon a good enough time to start launching brand new products.

One of the more interesting products I’ve had my eye on was the new Maybelline Dreamy Bouncy Blush.

Take a look!

Maybelline Dreamy Bouncy Blush is hybrid formula from what I’ve heard about it, being a cross between a powder and a cream blush. It’ll be available in 10 shades and is already popping up in drugstores although I haven’t seen it in my area so can’t confirm on a price at the moment.

What do you think?

Do you love the original Dream Mousse Blush?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. A found these at my local CVS and picked up a few. The texture is definitely a cream/powder hybrid, and it feels “spongy” in the compact. Colors are more pigmented than the original Dream Mousse. The price at my CVS is about $2 more than the Dream Mousse.

they sound interesting carrie! can’t wait to try ;-D some of those corals and peaches are calling my name 😀

I am on the fence about them, I had a hard time picking product onto my fingers and then onto a sponge. I like the texture but when you press down to get the product onto your chosen applicator, it sinks and looses the domed effect, still testing it out….

I purchased one yesterday at Target. The texture is interesting. I don’t think the pigmentation is all that great at least in the one I got, pink frosting. It also didn’t seem to last long. I’m still testing it out but I’d like to know if anyone has tried using a brush with it. What’s the best application method? Fingers don’t seem to cut it for me.

Candy Coral and Peach Satin look lovely! Will keep checking Comments to figure out application lol

I apply mine w/ a synthetic buffing brush…i.e. the real techniques buffing brush or the sigma f80 🙂 using your finger works as well, but i prefer the brush method! I hope this helps you!

went to target and saw them there. Didn’t buy them because I just picked u vintage grape from mac and told myself” Amanda you just bought a blush you don’t need to buy more.” But setting here looking at them makes me want a few. Tomorrow I will pick up Hot Tamale to start of with.

Oh never mind just saw a review and the blush wasnt as vibrant as I would like. I am nw50-55 so I need things a bit brighter. I guess I will use the money on the eye tattoos instead. the swatches are nice.

I just picked up 2 of these today at Target. Pigmentation is horrible and there is no staying power whatsoever. Big bomb in my opinion.

I found these at my local target for $6.99 and I love them! The texture is so unique. And when you touch your finger in the product it is springy or “bouncy” as the name applies 🙂 I am VERY fair skinned and I got 2 of them in Hot Tamale which can look very scary in the packaging, but it gives you the most gorgeous “I’m so in love warm pink blush” and I also got Fresh Pink which is a really precious pink color that just gives you a soft pink flush. I was NOT a fan of the Dream Mousse blushes…but I LOVE these!! I’m going back for more ASAP!

don’t know about everyone else, but I adore these blushes, there so fun to play with, they remind me of super bouncy balls, i find it easiest to apply with domed kabuki brush, I use one from ecotools. They give the most natural color and sheen, I literally want al the colors. Also I’ve been so impressed with the all the innovative products all the popular drugstore brands are coming out with in their spring collections!

I disagree. I love love love this blush. It is everything I wanted a cream blush to be! I use a brush for application and it works to perfection. I have never been so psyched about a blush before this.

  • LaTisha

I bought the plum wine blush and i love it. I definitely prefer to use it with my finger because I seem to have more control on the application. And the pigment is perfect. Again, if I may say so, i love love love it.

Tried the candy coral today. Not sure it is bright enough, but will give it a few days. I am 67, and feel my skin has changed and looks drap all the time so am looking for a new look.
