My Beauty Diary Chamomile & White Lily Sleep Concentrate Review

As you know My Beauty Diary has been branching out and including smaller skincare product releases along with their popular sheet masks.

I’ve reviewed their Sleep Concentrate in a prior post and wasn’t particularly thrilled with the product overall however I recently tried another formula and thought I’d share a little of my experience with it.

Let’s take a look!

My Beauty Diary Chamomile & White Lily Sleep Concentrate is a gel-like moisturizer that can be used in the day or the evening. The product is great in the fact that it serves two functions, that of a daily moisturizer and that of a sleeping pack.

This comes in a pastel plastic jar with a small spatula used for application. The spatula is a nice extra as you don’t have to dip into the jar to get product out you can simply use the plastic spatula to scoop it out. To my nose this smells like a mix of Victorian Rose and lilies, it’s quite a pleasant floral scent but I do think if you’re sensitive you might want to avoid as the scent is pretty strong and doesn’t necessarily go away once the product is on your face.

I found the gel formula on the thin, runny side but it manages to absorb easily and feels refreshing and cool on my skin. It’s extra lightweight so if you run on the oily side of the fence you’ll find this a nice, lightweight moisturizer for daily use. Personally during the Winter months I couldn’t get away with this as a daily moisturizer as I need considerably more hydration than it can provide but for the Summer it’ll be an ideal pick.

The formula contains something called Aquaxyl which promises to replenish moisture in the skin while increasing its ability to retain it. For me the formula feels like they took a facial sheet mask and squeezed out the essence and simply jarred it up.

To use as a moisturizer simply apply a thin layer on your face and press the palms of your hands against your face to allow the product to absorb. As a night treatment do the same but apply a thicker layer. This absorbs easily into skin without feeling tacky, sticky, greasy, or oily.

I honestly experienced nothing amazing with this product whether I used it in the AM or the PM. My skin is dry and this simply doesnt enough hydration even when using it as a sleeping pack. The promise of helping skin to retain moisture is no go as well.

Those who live in a hotter climate (the lightweight formula will lightly hydrate skin and keep it from looking or feeling greasy) may enjoy this as a daily moisturizer or even those with oily skin however if you have drier skin this probably will be best suited for the Summer season rather than the cooler, Winter weather we have now.

Overall, I’m not all that impressed with these sleep concentrates and have tried far better.

You can purchase this from both imomoko.com and AlphabeautyUK on E-bay if you’d like to try it. I am not affiliated with either seller.

Looks like garnier’s moisture rescue refreshing gel-cream. I’m thinking of getting their UV lotion because I have coupons that will make it 50% off and it has spf.

I bought my first sleeping pack from Etude House (the pink for moisterising) and used it last summer (Greetings from Australia!) and felt it did nothing for my skin. I have combination extreme skin (dry, flaky patches and areas and super oily Tzone) and after I tone and moisterise about 2-3 hours before bed, I put the sleeping pack on right before I hit the pillow. Skin feels better than a baby’s bum!

The packaging on this looks so adorable but the scent might just disagree with my skin, so pass!

I just saw these at the store and was curious about them since I hadn’t heard of them before 🙂 They’re super cute, and I’m tempted to try just for the scent. Maybe after I use my Laneige Sleeping Pack. They probably work the same XD

How ironic is it that I was thinking of purchasing this on BonjourHK but decided I’ll check here for reviews first and BAM there it is! Right on the front page, the review. It’s like you knew I was going to come here first for a review. LOL!!

It’s nice to know that it didn’t work for you. I guess I’ll pass on it since I have extremely dry skin too.
