My Beauty Diary Chocolate Truffle Sheet Mask Review, Swatches, Photos

You ever start off hating something but use it again and love all over it?

That’d be the case with My Beauty Diary Chocolate Truffle Sheet Masks.

Hated it, still do because it tears so easily but LOVE how moisturizing it is.

Take a lookiee!

Now that Winter is here I’m using a facial sheet mask once every other night to keep my skin in tip top shape. If you’ve never used an Asian style sheet mask before they are fabulous for skin woes. Masks have various formulas to treat various skincare issues such as dryness, acne, anti-aging, or even ones to whiten and brighten skin. Each mask is saturated in essence and is meant to be worn for 15-20 minutes. The mask is an actual cotton fiber mask which is worn over your face and has a cut out for eyes, mouth, and nose.

I originally disliked the Chocolate Truffle Mask when I tried it because it tore so easily due to the thinner fiber of the mask and also I felt like it didn’t do much. But recently I reused it and I’m leaning towards saying these could prove to my very favorite mask from My Beauty Diary.

Cocoa beans in the mask supposedly moisture skin while white truffle provides deep hydration. These feel like they have a very good deal of essence in each mask, more so than other My Beauty Diary masks I own.

I apply and keep the mask in place for 30 minutes although 20 is recommended. The result is instantly smoother, softer, and hydrated skin. The difference in my skin is very, very noticeable. Dry patchy areas are eased, flakiness disappears, and my skin feels almost resurfaced as if I exfoliated.

This truly does offer some incredible moisturizing properties. The formula doesn’t sit on my face either it seems to absorb fully, leaving behind softer, smoother skin.

The downside is you can’t pat the mask or touch it too often (I normally pat masks so essence absorbs into my skin as I wear it) as it tears easily.

Overall, I’m glad I re-explored these as they are quickly becoming a favorite! I used two this week and already my skin is absolutely glowing after use thanks to the fact these ease my dryness so well.

My Beauty Diary Chocolate Truffle Sheet Masks are essential for your Winter skincare arsenal particularly if you have dry skin.

Loves!

I love how hydrating these are~ The only downside for me is that they are a bit sticky afterwards.

oh thankfully no issues with that Dora ;-D! I normally get the stickiness too after some masks!

These are one of my absolute favs from MBD! I especially love the scent and well.. the fact that they make my skin SOOO SOFT! I also like the Earl Grey/Macaroon one for clarifying my skin 🙂 A slight step behind the Chocolate Truffle since I’d rather my skin be soft since it really has been dry lately (all the time!)

Tried this one the other night but still prefer Royal Jelly over ALL MBD masks!
I actually like that they tear because the fit on these sheet masks is off. I end up tearing them into three segments to get a perfect fit 😛

  • SJ

These never tore on me, mine were perfectly happy for me! Although I am always gentle, trying not to get the essence everywhere, I suppose!

Also Musey, everything you’ve covered today has been either something I own or something I’ve nearly purchased over the last week or so.
    I approve =D

Personally, I couldn’t stand the cloying smell of the sheet mask, even though I usually love chocolate!

Oooh thanks for this review! I saw this a few weeks ago in Boston but I passed it up because the price seemed a little steep and I had never heard of it before. I may have to look into it again! 🙂

I tried My Beauty Diary masks. They are Ok, I would give 3 out of 5. I ‘ve recently found Dizao Facial masks and completely hooked to this product. They are sheet face masks which fits better then My beauty diary. They all come with amazing serum with bio gold. I tried placenta-collagen Face and neck mask with salmon caviar extract and 100% hyaluronic acid for my eyes. i could see difference after first time and not just me. Everyone noticed and asked what I did to my skin? Girls, it is defenately worth to try and not that much expensive.

Question, I was looking at this on sasa it says exclusive to hong kong orders but it still went into my cart. Would I be able to purchase these?

  • Steph

How many mask per week to have great result?
I would like to try ^^

  • cindy

Yes i have used Dizao masks too their fantastic! When i went on a holiday to russia I found them in a pharmacy I used the placenta ones and they made my skin so soft and removed my fine lines on my forehead.
I found a official seller in Australia after getting a scam product off ebay.

O.M.G. I saw this in a store once and totally thought it wouldn’t work. Now that I see this review, I MUST go back to that store and get it! Thank you Muse!!

I just recently tried these and to my delight, they did not rip on me at all. The way I applied them was keeping the plastic sheet on and not removing it until after I had placed the mask on. Granted I did some slight readjustments too for the eye sockets and nose before carefully peeling off the plastic layer. Hopefully that helps prevent future rips for you! 🙂

For me, Kila Doll mask are the best. Love the great quality of the mask used. Defintely wont tear. Hope you like it 🙂
