Covergirl Wet Slicks Fruit Spritzers Lipgloss Review, Swatches, Photos
It’s completely random but the new Covergirl Wet Slicks Fruit Sprtzers Lipglosses come in a Caramel Apple Splash shade. Ummm hello paging Spring?
But dude, I’m all about having Fall year round so hells yes bring that caramel apple on I’ll wear it!
I can’t believe people exist that don’t adore tasty lipglosses but you’re out there and I respect your decision to not eat your lipgloss for a living.
As for me, I love tasty little lipglosses and that’s why I continue to buy Bath and Body Works Liplicious Lipglosses and fill an entire bedroom in my house with them. Imma be in the Guinness Book of World Records, “Girl Who Has the Most Liplicious Lipglosses” right next to “Girl Who Hoards the Most Liplicious Lipglosses”. Both of which are me!
Anyway speaking of tasty, these Covergirl Wet Slicks Spritzers Lipglosses tease and tantalize with their names, Caramel Apple Splash, Cranberry Splash but when it comes to delivering the goods they fail. These aren’t scented or flavored like their namesakes so brace yourself to be a little crushed when they arrive at your drugstore and you proceed to buy them hoping for a burst of crunchy caramel apple, and proceed to taste ’em…and well, nothing, at all in the ways of flavor pops up.
(Swatched above: Cranberry Splash and Caramel Apple Splash)
But all that aside….
I think you’ll be delighted with some of the darker shades. For example, Cranberry Splash is absurdly pigmented! This is a rich, warm shade of cranberry with a full color pay off. Caramel Apple Splash isn’t as pigmented but it a lovely shade of golden beige that looks lovely on top of lipsticks or stains.
The gloss is slick and has a nice shiny finish. It feels nice on my lips, no stickiness, no tackiness. Sadly, the wear time is a bit iffy so it slips and slides off within an hour of wear. You might be willing to overlook this since the pigmentation is one of the perks.
Overall, Covergirl Wet Slicks Fruit Spritzers are a nice to have lipgloss with an incredible pigmentation but they lack a bit in the wear time and yeah, I was kinda disappointed they didn’t taste as good as they looked!
Available now at drugstores for $5.79.
