MAC Beauty Powder Too Chic Review, Swatches, Photos

Little low on dough but really wanting the Chanel Natural Finish Powder in Jasmin I reviewed recently?

MAC Beauty Powder to the rescue!

Granted MAC’s version is a little smaller at 0.35 oz (Chanel’s is 0.53 oz) but the $23 price tag could sway you to Team Too Chic!

Too Chic was released with the Iris Apfel Collection and isn’t quite a complete dupe for Jasmin but it’s close enough if you’re on a strict budget considering it’ll save you $22 since Chanel’s version will set you back $45.

Where as Jasmin is a soft golden beige Too Chic leans towards being a paler creamy white gold with a fine iridescent sheen. You won’t want to use it on your entire face but you certainly can if you have fairer skin.

Beauty Powders have a silky formula and can be used to highlight certain areas of your face, brow bone, etc….on my medium fair skin Too Chic gives a soft glow with a subtle hint of shimmer.

I know some of you were craving the Chanel version after I reviewed it and this is a far better value if you’re on a budget.

It’s available for a limited time at MAC counters.

Own it?

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Okay I have $30, should I get Blonde MSF or Too Chic? I have NW20 skin

    • the Muse

lucy it’s kinda two different products hun. so really depends what you want, highlighter or blusher/highlighter.

How strong do you think Blonde MSF would be on me as a blush? I’ve heard great things about both product but I’m not sure that $30 is worth it for just a highlight

        • the Muse

not sure lucy, I’m not too familiar with mac’s foundation range so nw20 is greek to me. if you’re fair to medium blonde should be fairly pigmented to act as a glowy blusher of sorts however if you’re looking for a super pigmented blush it’s definitely not that.

I bought this two nights ago and I am in love.
I am using it as a brow bone highlight and I would describe it as having a “glowy sheen” rather than a “shimmer”. It’s beautiful!

Thank you Thank you Thank You! I am going to run out to the MAC store right now.. ok maybe not they close in 15 mins wont make it but I’ll go tomorrow after work LOL I am seriously lemming the chanel one but its really not in the budget this paycheck .. I think too chic will cure my lemming, This is why you are one of my favorite bloggers!

I totally agree with how BooBooNinja described it- I bought this last year when it was released with the Champale collection, and it’s definitely much less “frosty” than MSFs in my opinion and gives more of a glow. One of my favorite subtle highlighters!

I saw this at my local CCO today; if you have one near you, you might want to check there first.

Colleen, you’re so lucky you live near a CCO! This is my HG highlighter.
