Tarina Tarantino Dollskin Cheek Palette Review, Swatches, Photos

Morning!

So you been wanting to try Tarina’s Blush line but can’t decide on a single shade and not wanting to indulge in several full size? No worries, that’s where the new Tarina Tarantino Dollskin Cheek Palette comes into play. Variety, value, and oh so pretty.

I think you need it.

I earlier suspected that these were full size blushes as Sephora posted they were but just a note the size of each blush is 0.12 oz versus a full size of 0.2 oz. Sephora had it listed incorrectly and I related that info to you but just wanted to confirm the actual size per blush.

The compact features four shades of Tarina’s Dollskin Cheek Blush and is $45. It’s a nice palette since it offers a variety of shades and the price is pretty friendly at $45 versus purchasing a single shade at $25. Why pay $25 for a single shade when you can get four?

The best part about the palette for me is the addition of the shade Parasol. It’s truly my HG (holy grail) shade of peachy coral. It’s a gorgeous shade that makes my face glow.

All the colors included are as follows:

  • Candy Cameo (shimmery pink)
  • Feather (shimmery peach)
  • Carved Rose (cool vivid pink)
  • Parasol (shimmery pink/ peach)

(Swatched Left to Right: Candy Cameo, Carved Rose, Feather, Parasol)

(Feather)

(Carved Rose)

(Candy Cameo)

(Parasol)

The compact comes in a slick gunmetal mirrored compact. It’s about the size of a CD case and features a huge mirror inside which makes it ideal for longer travel and trips as you can have four shades of blush at your fingertips and a rather nicely sized mirror to apply them with. I kinda wished they included a brush as well to go along with the compact. The compact feels sturdy enough to toss in your makeup bag as well but it is a magnet for fingerprints.

I’ve reviewed the blushes in a pass post so I won’t go into a great deal of details about them but I will say they are nicely pigmented, silky, and blend easily. Some of the shades add a real glow to skin and in my opinion there simply aren’t enough blushes in my collection that give my skin a beautiful glow.

Overall, Tarina gives us a simple way to enjoy a variety of her blush shades in a beautiful compact. I personally loved this one and felt like it was a great deal. The blushes are some of my favorite formulas out there and I’ve spent a good deal of time raving them when I originally purchased Parasol on the launch about a year or two ago. Not much has changed since, these are just fabulous all around.

If you’ve been wanting to splurge but simply couldn’t decide which color to get, now it’s easy enough to own several without spending triple the cost.

Loves it!

Muse Approved for purchase.

P.S. Final Fantasy XIII 2, ’nuff said. And I’m pretty excited about the new Sims….*blush* although I draw the line at the extra $10 bucks it would cost to own the Katy Perry version, sheesh girlfriend has her name on everything lately, slow down sister!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I was super excited to see this blush palette, since I love blush and have heard only awesome things about this brand. But I’m really disappointed that there are three shimmer blushes -I really prefer matte blushes, I prefer a leaving the shimmer for highlighters. Oh well!

I saw this in store and almost bought it. I have so many blushes already. I haven’t tried anything Tarina Tarantino yet, but I think I might try eyeshadow before blush. But these are so pretty. It is a nice color selection.

I really want this! I’ve found it on ebay for around 50 and I’m so tempted to get it! xx

Why does the swatch for carved rose and feather have dark spots in the upper corners of it? But thanks for doing swatches of this! I’ve been wanting to get this since my luck ran out on getting the Mars blush palette, and I didn’t know if this palette is pigmented or not since I have nc40 skin.

sorry I had swatched eyeshadows prior and wiped them off with a mac wipe and my arm was a bit damp and carved rose got caught in that area during the swatch.

I really love this blush palette, I ordered it as soon as it came back into stock on the website. Even though I am NC37 (MAC) these show up lovely on my cheeks and I think these blushes are some I will hit pan on (in maybe five years, but still!). Definitely a must-purchase, in my opinion.

This looks awesome! I didn’t see it at a Sephora I visited the other day though. The website only says it’s Exclusive but no indicated if it’s Limited Edition. Do you know if it’s permanent?
