Tarina Tarantino Jewel Mirror Review

Would you like a little bling with your mirror?

The new Tarina Tarantino Jewel Mirrors for Spring 2012 bring a little sparkling joy to your touch ups and makeup bags.

Take a look!

These stunning little compacts and very affordable at $25 considering Tarina’s normal line is a good deal more expensive. Each compact is about the size of a Tarina Blush (if you own one) in an oval design with a dazzling display of embedded glass crystals in multiply colors decorating the front side of the compact. These aren’t dinky compacts, they have a nice bit of weight behind them.

Inside you’ll find a special little message that reads “Get Ready to Sparkle”, does this mirror know me or what?

The compacts offers two mirrors one of which is 1x magnification and the other 3x so you can have those up close and personal moments with your touch ups as well as the regular view.

(Emerald Pretty)

(Lilac Crush)

(Glitter Mist)

I think they’re a lovely little indulgence and addition to your makeup bag!

Available in four shades at Sephora and Sephora.com

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Just out of curiosity… people still buy actual stand alone pocket mirrors? I feel like there is one attached to every dang near powder, blush, anything for a touch up that you would carry around.

*shrug* maybe it’s just me. It is quite cute though…

I’ve got a standalone mirror because none of my products actually have mirrors attached to them. That said, I do think it’s a bit pricey for what it is.

I’ve got a double mirror like this (but I think it was around $4, it’s plain), because all of my mirrors attached to products eventually get very dusty/smudgy. You just can’t clean a mirror in a product compact the way you’d clean a mirror if it was on its own.

Plus, I’m blind as a bat without my glasses, so I need something I can hold up close to my face without being afraid I’m going to drop/spill product.

***WANT*** the Glitter Mist! but at $25 those crystals better be cemented on REALLY well. If they’ve used cheap glue and I’m seeing bling falling off left and right I will NOT be happy!!!

I hope I attached this correctly. THis is one that I made awhile ago for a very good friend. I love beautiful compacts! And, I think they look a little classier than pulling out say a cardboard blush with a mirror on top.

ok, here goes… if it doesn’t work I’ll figure out something. LOL

Oh well, it was a really nice beaded compact. Not going to waste any more space here.

Muse – feel free to delete these comments if you wish. Sorry for practicing (and messing up) on your page.

You did a great job on the compact, when I first looked at it I thought it was a vintage one.

THanks Michelle – It’s a pietersite center stone with tiny beads on ultra suede backing. I wish I had pics of the others, I made them for my very good friends one year for Christmas.
