Bobbi Brown Brightening Nudes Crystal Glitter Lip Gloss Review & Swatches

I dunno if glitter is your bag but it sure as heck is mine. Most everything I own in my stash has some sort of glitter, sparkle, or shimmer.

One I thing I don’t own?

A good clear lipgloss with a nice bit of glitter to it.

Thank you Bobbi Brown Glitter Lipgloss, my stash is complete now.

Released with Bobbi’s new Brightening Nudes Collection this crystal clear Glitter Lipgloss is infused with light reflecting flecks of glitter that catch the light and sparkle like little stars on your lips.

I’m completely honest and serious when I say I don’t actually own any clear shimmer glosses. I tend to navigate to shiny clear glosses to top lipsticks and stains with but don’t technically own any with sparkle or shimmer.

What is wrong with me?

Needless to say Bobbi Brown Glitter Lipgloss is life changing for me. It adds just the right amount of lovely glitter on top of my favorite lipsticks and particularly saves my life in matte lippie situations I don’t like being in as it takes my mattes from drab to fab in a swipe.

The thick texture has a super shiny finish and chunky flecks of glitter that reflects pink, gold, or silver depending on how the light catches it. The thicker, sticky texture allows the gloss to have a strong wear time but might not be appealing to those who aren’t into the tacky side of gloss formulas. I personally don’t mind the stick as it only prolongs the wear of both my gloss and anything I’m wearing under it.

Best part? It looks rather darling all its own on bare lips! Bad part? It will leave glittery residue behind when it wears away.

Overall, I’m kinda loving this little Glitter Lipgloss and its made me question why I don’t own more shimmery shades of clear gloss.

Likey!

Multitask it on your lids. A tiny drop will give a glossy lid look or top it with a gold pigment on your eyes for a wash of color. Interesting idea eh? I like to think so!

This looks fabulous! Does the glitter have a noticeably rough texture, or is the formula pretty smooth?

fairly smooth until it wears away, a little gritty after it is gone, as it leaves a glittery layer behind sans gloss when gone.

Hmm, if you’re in the market for another and don’t mind the scent, the UD Pocket Rocket in Jules is a good clear with tons of glitter in it. The shade’s been D/Ced, but I’ve seen it discounted various places recently, so if you come across it, I’d pick it up. Unless you hate the Pocket Rocket line.
