Bobbi Brown Rose Gold Rich Lip Color Review, Swatches, Photos
Bobbi, girl, I tried to recreate that killer lip look you had going on in the Rose Gold promo image but I couldn’t do it! It says the model is wearing Pink Peony Rich Lip Color topped with Pink Cocoa Rich Color Gloss but I tried the combo and I don’t get that bronze-y rose that the model has going on. Why you do this to me? I’m mad with envy my lips don’t look as amazing as your models.
Anyone try the combo?
Success?
Sadly, I was unable to successfully recreate the look but here’s a look at the Bobbi Brown Rose Gold Rich Color Lipsticks.
Ok, I thought these were slightly odd colors to pair up with the Rose Gold Collection. The Wild Rose Shimmer Brick is super bright and gorgeous on my cheeks and I expected some dusky shades of red, berry, and rose to go along with it for my lips but Bobbi took an interesting turn and went with some cooler and nude shades of rose and coral creams to pair up with the look!
Sad sigh ahead…
I couldn’t successfully wear many of these shades because 1. they have a cream finish (I look zombie-fied in cream finishes, just too mod for me) and 2. some of the coolers were a tad too nude and cool for me.
The nicer shades would be Wild Rose (rosy raspberry shade) and Nude Rose (dusky light rose). The cooler shades didn’t get on with me so well those were Miami Coral and Pink Peony. The nice option is you can create super wearable looks with all four shades if you indulge in the glosses Bobbi released with Rose Gold as the glosses warm up or lighten up shades depending on the colors you mix and match them with.
You have to be careful with Rich Lip Color as most are cream finishes in my experience and they do accentuate less than smooth lips. So if you are drier I do suggest a balm prior to use so you get an nice, even color finish. On smoother lips, you’ll experience a soft, creamy glide with excellent color pay off but def do take my suggestion of a balm prior if your lips are drier.

I’m a little on the fence about these shades. I thought they didn’t quite fit in with the Rose Gold theme. Actually, when I think about it the whole collection doesn’t really give me a Rose Gold vibe but there are some gems here that are worthy of a check out. You might just love these colors.
