MAC & Marcel Wanders 2 2012

MAC partners once again with designer Marcel Wanders to create a limited edition collection. If you recall the prior collection was all about the dark and elegant. This sequel brings the light to the front of the line an elegant and beautiful Spring Collection.

I love the packaging but the shades are a little to nude, frosty, and light for me so I can probably safely say no. I’ve reached a point in my makeup life where the allure of great packaging isn’t as strong if I can’t actually use the shades housed in all that gorgeous packaging!

What do you think?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Well … I think I do like this collection if only for packaging. Hard for me to justify spending $60 on some facial powder, but how great would it look as a paperweight?!??! XD

No worries. Apologies about that. I was and am still floored by how pretty everything is.

If I’m going to pay “Chanel” prices, I want Chanel quality, quantity, and classic packaging.. just saying. I actually got the Marcel powder from a CCO a year ago and it was only so-so bit for $32 it was a lot easier to bite. I’m skipping this collection.

Hi Muse! 🙂 They keep putting that $80 price on that brush, what is wrong with them? If I recall correctly on their last MAC MW collection the brush had also an insane price….I don’t get it.

i know lol! it’s a heavier piece but still! I can buy a lot of makeup for $80 never mind a single brush!
