MAC Shop MAC Call Me Bubbles Eyeshadow Quad Review & Swatches

Truly the comedy Bubbles brought to Ab Fab was priceless and a most perfect lead in to my review of the new MAC Quad in Call Me Bubbles.

Let’s take a look!

Call Me Bubbles is one of three new quads MAC released with the MAC Shop Collection. Quads have been a bit iffy lately from MAC in my opinion as they run a bit on the dry, chalky side. So far, the MAC Shop Quads are proving decent enough with a few hiccups.

My favorite of the lot is Call Me Bubbles, not only because of the name (Dontcha just love Bubbles?) but also because of the color selection.

Shades Include:

  • Call Me Bubbles (light tan)
  • Fresh Daily (orange)
  • Full of Flavour (coral)
  • Brash (copper)

(Swatched Left to Right: Brash, Full of Flavour, Call Me Bubbles, and Fresh Daily)

Call Me Bubbles is made up of some great shades and some meh ones, the worst for me is the very delightful coral shade, Full of Flavour. This is matte finish and I found it incredibly difficult to work with as it applies patchy and the formula runs drier. It is rich with pigment which is one perk about it. The good news is you get to pair it up with Brash which has a certain metallic gleam to it. This also happens to be the most pigmented shade in the batch and is a gorgeous shade of vibrant copper with hints of red.

I like the fact that all the shades go really well together and create a really pretty sunset eye look. The colors remind me of the MAC Spring Forecast Quad but they are considerably brighter and more vibrant. With a little know how you can create a very pretty look with these shades. My look below is amatuer at best but I had fun with this one and thought it proved much nicer than some of the quads that MAC has released recently.

If you like warmer, sunny shades with a good deal of vibrancy I suggest indulging in Call Me Bubbles. I think it was the prettiest of the three quads released.

Did you grab it?

What else did you purchase from the MAC Shop Collection?

I don’t know if you guys ever got a tv show called ‘little Britain’ over there, but it was quite a big tv show here, and there’s a sketch in it with ‘call me bubbles’
Have a look on YouTube Muse! X

I just got a haul from MAC Shop collection, and one of those items was the Call Me Bubbles quad. I wanted to read reviews to see how others like it so thank you for posting this. I also picked up:

    Cremeblend Blush in Optomistic Orange
Tendertone Lip Balm in Purring (From the Cook Mac line)
    Kissable Lipcolour in Scan-Delicious
Pearlglide Intense Eye Liner in Black Line (from the Vera line)

Unfortunately, they sold out of the Watch Me Simmer and Quick Sizzle Lipsticks that I wanted.

    Great blog. <3

Got this quad an love it for a daily look and also for going out!

Odd the your Full of Flavor has so many issues. Mine is really pigmented and smooth. Maybe slightly powdery, but it doesn’t have issues with patchiness. I even like using it as a blush.

On the other hand, I also love Call Me Bubbles but it comes out so sheer for me that I really have to work on building it up for it to show on my lid/brow bone. Not sure why. Maybe if I get thru that top layer it will work better.
