MAC Vera Pearlglide Intense Eye Liner Review & Swatches

The MAC Vera Collection launches shortly (Feb. 16th) and many of you will be happy to know that seven shades of PearlGlide Intense Eye Liner will be along for the release ride.

Take a look at some of these shades!

These shade seem more vibrant than some of my other Pearlglides, maybe I’m imagining things.

Pearlglides are such a great value as these are 0.04 oz in size and $15 each versus Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliners which are $19 each at the same size and dare I say the formula is even nicer.

They have a smoother, creamy glide and wear quite well on the waterline. I find colored liners are difficult to pull off on my waterline but Pearlglides seem to have a knack for showing up very well and true to color on my waterline. I’ve been missing out for years by the way as I had read they aren’t waterline safe but turns out they are according to a MAC Chat I had…jeepers! Be aware if your eyes are sensitive as these do have glitter. They wear quite long on my waterline and I have no issues with them smudging, fading, or flaking it off plus they remove very easily.

(Undercurrent, Petrol Blue, Black Line)

Overall, these are gorgeous shades and well worth a haul.

They’ll be available shortly from MAC.

Will you be indulging?

I’m so glad that they’re making these permanent starting with this launch 😀 Finally! I can stop hoarding my precious Pearlglides.

Where did you read that they were waterline safe? I didn’t think they were since the shades contain glitter particles.

I actually asked via one of those mac chats and they said they are! Hope it’s true! 🙂

These are pretty! I am waiting to buy since they are permanent, and I have a long want list lol.

I’m with Maggie on this. Soooo glad these are now permanent. I’ve been hoarding mine too. Now I can use them freely. These are my absolute all time favorite liners!

I picked up Petrol Blue to give it a chance. I have had problems with MAC liners in the psat (Feline, I’m lookin’ at you) migrating all over my eye area, but I’m hoping these will stay in place, with the help of TFSI.

Oooooooooo…. I want undercurrent! So pretty! And Petrol too! I read on mua reviews of undercurrent that the reviewer put undercurrent over petrol – I’ll bet that’s gorgeous!!

    ME WANTY!!! 😀

Oooo, I called the MAC counter in Macys in Independence Mall in KC and had these sent to me (actually “Industrial and Undercurrent”) along with some other stuff. They actually had them ready for sale. So I’m not sure if the Feb 16 is the right date for release?
But they are so very awesome, I had gotten Black Swan and Lord It Up (along with backups) last Christmas when they were released with the Tartan Tale collection. So creamy and long lasting, in fact I’m wearing Black Swan today!

I don’t own any MAC….. but I’m oh so tempted by these if they come across the pond! x

I’ll take Petrol Blue. I’ve got Undercurrent and other shades. LOVE THEM all! And I’m happy they are going to become permanent, finally.

Saw the Vera collection this afternoon @ Bloomies hackensack
I tried the liners on my hand glided on so smoothly, but came off easily with a tissue (do they need a dry time)

    Nice colors on the liners
blush: while the imprint is pretty colors are just OK,

So call yr stores they may be there now

    aargghh… drooling non-stop!!
when u mentioned about urban decay, & sounds like these might be better than urban decay, i tought.. i must have these!!!
i’ve never had any mac eyeliners before, and out of those eyeliner pencils i’ve tried, urban decay is the best but it comes with a big pricetag. now that this might be better.. i must have these!!
    =D

These are super pretty but I have too may liners, LOL. They are actually already released along with the rest of the vera collection.

  • Makedonka

“Undercurrent” and “black line” were delivered yesterday @ my house – I really love the colors first of all, and the texture – I agree with you on these being better then the UD ones. I have not tried such a smooth liner in pencil form before. 🙂

Vera launched on the 9th, actually (release date got bumped up). I’m happy that these are permanent now. Designer Purple is my favorite purple liner.

I wish I didn’t have to travel so far to the MAC counter. I tend to not “MAC out” because I have to drive to the mall to do so. I usually treat myself to something MAC when Macy’s has their clinique bonus. haha I know weird but I always get my eye makeup remover then they have GWP. Then I head over to MAC to see what catches my eye (or lips as the case was last time LOL).
