Milani Runway Eyes Eyeshadow Golden Touch, Antigua, Peaches & Cream Review & Swatches

I was absolutely thrilled when I originally purchased Milani’s Runway Eyes Eyeshadow a few years ago. It was my first really big budget purchase back in the day. Up until that time I really avoided drugstore brands but after that purchase I was pretty adventurous and made more and more trips to CVS.

Thanks Milani, you converted me and gave me hope that drugstore makeup isn’t all rubbish!

I’m quite happy that Runway Eyes Eyeshadow isn’t forgotten. Released quite a few years ago, this shadow hasn’t really seen update in quite a while but for Spring 2012 Milani has added three new shades to the collection.

Take a peek!

I’m of an age I’m starting to appreciate subtle little eyeshadow shades and these fit the bill perfectly. The shades brighten up tired eyes with a sheer wash of color and a delightful little sparkle that even older eyes can indulge. Sometimes you just want to go simple with your eyes and give more attention to your lips and cheeks and these shades are ideal for that.

I’ve always loved the Runway Eye formula and these are just as lovely. The formula is a silky little number that blends lovingly on eyes. There is a rather large amount of over spray on each of the shades but it isn’t nearly as sparkly after that over spray is wiped away and you’ll only be left with a very subtle sparkle with the powder that lays beneath.

You will be disappointed if you prefer more vibrant, bolder shades of shadow however they’ll appeal if you just want a simple wash of color across lids. The best color pay off here lays with the shade Antigua and even that is rather subtle.

My favorite colors from this release are Golden Touch and Peaches & Cream. Golden Touch is a sparkling light gold shade that looks lovely paired up with black liner. Peaches & Cream adds just the right amount of lid enhancing peach to lids. Antigua is a lovely golden green.

Overall, these shades create eye brightening looks that give peepers a perfectly awake look. I love the simplicity of application and the no brainer looks they create. The formula proves beautiful to work with and the inexpensive price tag is more than appealing!

These look like a pretty good cheap substitute for Bobbi Brown’s new shadows from their eye brightening line. I’ll have to check these out next time I go shopping.

I love your writing style and word choices. You’re very intelligent and well-written! I’ve only recently discovered your page, and I am so glad I have! Well done. Also, you’re a lovely lady and I appreciate the soft touch you use with make-up application. I will be back!
