About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. If you’re that person feel free to reach out and leave a comment or follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Bloglovin‘.

    oh, dear….

    when did they leave HSN?

I vow, to not watch. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

    dang it.

I apologize. That was me laughing at myself.

I keep vowing to stay away from certain types of makeups or brands, because I am over-flowing with makeup and fragrance and body products.

I have been so good until all that Boyfriend stuff. Then I got carried away with the recent Mac Shop Cook…
      and then…
well, nevermind. Oy, vey. Sephora and Qvc. two of my favorite haunts for shopping. Resistance sometimes seems so futile.

I’m missing something. Why would I buy sephora at qvc and miss out on VIB points? Is there special pricing or bundles?

    • the Muse

free shipping, special pricing, items are bundled (three lipglosses, two concealers for the price of one, etc), and some items they have are no longer available at Sephora such as the Robbery Palette.

I think when it comes to this you have to really know your prices and what’s available and what’s not. I may or may not watch. The free shipping is good but that’s easy enough to do at sephora and I appreciate all the perks from VIB points.

I also think that when they start rolling out the discontinued items that you run the risk of getting old product. Powders, brushes, bags, etc. are fine but when they do eye pencils, lip stuff, glosses, and anything “cream” I think you need to know when it “first’ was introduced. Even if the product has never been opened sometimes it’s just not the same. KWIM?

oh you are too cute with that marriage graphic of the 2…

i told my boyfriend about sephora being on qvc, his response: “damn jesus must REALLY love you. your 2 favorites combined!!!” LOL

i’m trying to do a no makeup buy for the rest of feb (did a big benefit haul off HSN + josie maran website with 15% off but only got skincare) so hopefully i can resist this!

That is so exciting! I didn’t realize Sephora was going to be on QVC! I am a huge fan of QVC, but don’t have good access to Sephora.

QVC offered free shipping and handling on every single item in this show. They featured a 6 piece Sephora/OPI spring full size nail polish set (sold out); the Hello Kitty eyeshadow tin/palette (with reduced price of $24 down from $39 at Christmas and sold out this time); a Tokidoki 3 piece brush set (sold out); a Tarina Tarantino brightener duo (sold out); a Kat Von D eyeshadow palette and a Hello Kitty hand mirror. I can’t remember if there was anything else shown.

I watched a Sephora/QVC hour show before Christmas, so this wasn’t a premiere show. And they had a few repeated items they’d previously shown. But this time, there were sellouts (less inventory?) and a reduced price on the HK tin/palette.
