Sephora Prisma Chrome Eyeshadow Review & Swatches
Oh how are you crazy cool new eyeshadows from Sephora?
Sephora Prisma Chrome Eyeshadow are probably the most wicked product gracing my stash at the moment. These 3D wave shaped shadows not only pack some nice pigment but the interesting design memorizes me.
Take a look!
Housed in a chunky black compact, these shadows are a lesson learned in three dimensional eyeshadow. Gotta give Sephora props for creating a very interestingly designed eyeshadow. You can’t see it in the photo but the shadows have a wave-like design that lifts upward in the compact, giving it a 3D appearance.
The design isn’t the only thing wicked about them though!
These bring together the formula of a baked powder, a cream eyeshadow, and a powder one in one single compact. They have the feel of a baked eyeshadow with the silkiness of a powder and the application of a cream that glides onto lids easily and blends out in a super lightweight finish. The finish has adds a metallic gleam to lids with a true to pan color that Sephora says has a prismatic effect, the colors formed by refraction of light through a crystal prism. The colors are extraordinarily vibrant on lids.
(Swatched Left to Right: Shimmery Sand, Bronze Brilliance, Purple Prisma, and Sapphire Shine)

Application proves extra easy as the colors glide on like butter but they can go a little frosty in some of the shades so just take an extra moment to blend out well for the best finish. I experienced no fall out issues with the shades however even with primer worn under them I did have a bit of creasing towards the end of the day so just be aware if you have oily lids as you’ll want to take some extra time prepping prior to application.
At $15, I thought they were a lovely little addition to the Sephora catalog. I generally have my ups and downs with Sephora makeup but these prove a hit. The design, application, and pigmentation all get a big rave from me.
Loved ’em!
